Action Research On The Intervention Of Occupational Therapy Into The Community Integration Of The Elderly With Mental Disorders ——A Case Study Of The Public Venture Capital Project In S City

Mild mental disabled elderly itself has certain ability of social life,but are influenced by various subjective and objective factors in real life,they are still excluded from the mainstream groups,social exclusion and stigmatized,and the social support system of their vulnerability,it is difficult to deal with the crisis,cause the environment to adapt to bad,difficult to fit into society.The main problem for the elderly with mild mental disabilities is not treatment but reintegration into society.Previous studies have shown that occupational therapy can effectively improve physical,psychological and social functioning and promote activity and participation through selective occupational activities or appropriate environmental interventions.Group work,as an important method of social work,has also achieved many remarkable results in promoting group communication among the elderly with mental disorders.Based on the community,this paper took the elderly with mental disorders in community rehabilitation in S community as the research object,and took the occupational therapy group as the form of intervention to improve their social function.Through participatory observation and interviews,the author found that community exclusion and self-exclusion were the main obstacles to the integration of the elderly with mental disorders into the community.Exclusion corresponds to integration.Only by solving the problem of social exclusion can the group accept it.This paper mainly promotes the integration of the elderly with mental disorders from two aspects of promoting community identity and enhancing self-identity and sense of value.Concrete operation method from two aspects of operation treatment recreational activities and environmental intervention intervention,through the difficulty of job content increasing,from independence to cooperation,the role of the group to team members found mental disorders side old man disease,eliminate prejudice,positive incentives to encourage each other,to mobilize them to participate in community activities of intrinsic motivation;The elderly with mental disorders can also observe the behavior of the ordinary elderly group,from imitation to internalization of their own,in the constant self-awareness of change.By measuring before and after the psychosocial functioning assessment and observing behavioral changes,The research proves that occupational therapy has a positive and constructive effect on the community integration of the mentally disabled,and has a positive impact on the self-cognition,peer network and community system of the mentally disabled elderly.As a means of helping social work professionals,occupational therapy can effectively improve the self-esteem of the elderly with mental disorders,reduce "stigma" and stigma,and promote their integration into the community.Community integration is a long process,and it takes a long time to test the ultimate effectiveness of occupational therapy,However,at present,residents do not resist contact and communication with the elderly with mental disorders,and the subjects themselves bravely take a step to communicate with others,and their sense of self-impotence is weakened,and occupational therapy has a positive impact on them.Therefore,occupational therapy is of great value and significance in the community integration of the mentally disabled.
