With the promulgation of the 2017 version of the general high school chemistry curriculum standards, the new textbooks compiled according to the new curriculum standard will be published in 2019.The publication of the new textbook means that students have the tools to cultivate the five core qualities of chemistry. Now is the initial stage of the use of new textbooks. In order to understand the difference between the old and new textbooks more clearly, and to make better use of the new textbooks to achieve the purpose of cultivating students' core chemistry literacy,it is necessary to study the changes between the old and new textbooks.Especially for some areas that do not use new textbooks(such as Inner Mongolia),it is more necessary to understand the difference between new and old textbooks,so as to better use old textbooks and cultivate students' core literacy in chemistry.Based on constructivism learning theory and three-order combination principle, this paper adopts literature research method, comparative research method, text analysis method and content analysis method as research methods, and selects the relevant contents of "Non-metallic Elements and Their Compounds" in the 2019 PEP Senior high School Chemistry textbook and "Non-metallic Elements and Their Compounds" in the 2004 PEP Senior High School Chemistry textbook. The contents of "non-metallic elements and their Compounds" in the 2003 edition of high school Chemistry Curriculum Standard(Experiment)and 2017 edition of high school Chemistry Curriculum Standard are compared. This paper makes a comparative analysis of the 2003 edition and 2017 edition of high school chemistry curriculum standards from three aspects:curriculum structure, curriculum objectives and curriculum content. From the perspective of the curriculum structure, the high school chemistry curriculum has changed from compulsory and elective courses in the 2003 version to compulsory, elective and selective compulsory courses in the 2017 version.Among them,"Nonmetals and their compounds" still belongs to the theme of "Common inorganic substances and their applications" in the compulsory courses. From the point of view of curriculum goals, the course objectives have changed from three-dimensional objectives in 2003 version to five core chemical literacy in 2017 version.Although the curriculum objectives have changed, they are not completely separated from each other.Chemistry core literacy is the sublimation and integration of three-dimensional objectives, both of which aim to cultivate students' scientific literacy and embody the essence of science. From the perspective of curriculum content, the 2017 version of the course standard "Nonmetal and its compounds" in the cutbacks in the relevant part of the "silicon and its compound",reducing the importance of this part. This paper makes a comparative study of the 2019 and 2004 PEP edition high school chemistry textbook "Nonmetals and Their Compounds" from two aspects: overall content and specific content. The overall content is mainly compared and analyzed from three aspects:writing style, content arrangement and content selection. From the perspective of writing style, the color matching of the 2019 edition is changed from blue and white in the 2004 edition to purple and white. And topic map has been added in the directory, more can highlight this chapter content with life. From the perspective of content arrangement, the biggest change in the 2019 textbook is to split the knowledge of nonmetals and their compounds, which was in one chapter of the 2004 textbook, into two chapters, with the boundary between the structure of matter and the periodic law of elements, before and after it.From the point of view of content selection, the content of "Silicon and its compounds" is greatly reduced. The specific content mainly from the chapter content, column design, charts, experiments and exercises of five aspects of the two editions of the textbook comparative analysis.Compared to the 2004 edition of teaching materials, the 2019 edition of "Nonmetal and its compound" in chapter introduction to pay more attention to embody the scientific method, the explicit core literacy.Compared with the 2004 version, the types of columns involved in the 2019 version of "Non-metals and their compounds" have been increased. The variety of columns can not only enrich students' peripheral knowledge, but also increase the readability of textbooks. In the 2019 edition, the number of pictures of "nonmetals and their compounds" has not changed much, increasing from 34 in the 2004 edition to 39.However,the number of forms in the new edition has been reduced from 10 to 2 as part of the table content is directly presented in the form of words. The insertion of charts can make the logic of some knowledge in the textbook clearer and enhance the visual. The new version of the textbook focuses on the cultivation of students' practical ability, and the number of experiments is increased from 12 to 16,including 2 students must do experiments. From the perspective of exercises, the number of exercises in the 2019 edition is significantly reduced, and the exercises are condensed and reflect the characteristics of focusing on the integration with real situations. The "Nonmetals and Their Compounds" in the 2019 textbook combines students' cognitive logic on the basis of focusing on the logic of subject knowledge,so as to better cultivate students' chemical core literacy.According to the above comparison, the following five teaching suggestions and two comparative research suggestions are put forward:(1)Increase the creation of real situations.(2)Better play the role of task-based real situations in exercises.(3)Constructing situational clues of the history of science.(4)Vigorously carry out experimental exploration.(5)Incorporating the idea of three-order combination into teaching(6)The combination of new and old textbooks.(7)Rational use of resources.(8)Appropriately create models for comparative analysis.
