With the rapid development of information technology,scientific and technological progress is changing with each passing day,China has set off an upsurge of artificial intelligence.In order to increase the reserve of artificial intelligence talents,China has issued a series of relevant policies,proposing to add courses related to artificial intelligence in primary and secondary schools and gradually implement programming education.For elementary school students,graphical programming is easier to operate and understand than code programming.You only need to drag the building blocks to construct various interfaces of application programs.At the same time,graphical programming can cultivate students’ programming thinking and comprehensive ability in all aspects.However,the previously commonly used programming tool in China was Scratch developed by Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the United States,it has shortcomings such as insufficient simplification of building blocks and inability to generate APPs,which cannot meet the learning needs of students.Therefore,in order to actively respond to national policies,programming education is carried out in schools to help students get started with programming,this study selects the Codemao as a graphical programming tool,guided by constructivist learning theory and gamified learning and other theories,a graphical programming learning activity teaching mode under the application of task-driven teaching method is constructed and applied in teaching,so as to enhance students’ interest in learning programming and improve students’ practical operation ability and cooperation ability,I hope to provide effective guidance for teachers who are committed to programming education,so that programming education can be popularized in primary school information technology classrooms.This study adopts literature research method,investigation method,observation method and case study method to research.Firstly,through reading literature,this study summarizes the research status of graphic programming at home and abroad from three aspects: the application of graphical programming software,the application analysis of graphical programming software in primary school information technology curriculum and the analysis of the current situation of primary school graphical programming teaching.On the basis of understanding the research status of graphical programming at home and abroad,this study expounds the theoretical and practical significance of applying Codemao graphical programming learning activities to teaching,and introduces the relevant concepts and theories of this research;Then,the students in class2,grade 4 of S school in Hohhot and two information technology teachers were taken as the preliminary survey objects of this study.The basic situation of students was learned through questionnaire survey,and the current situation of programming teaching in this school was learned through teacher interview.According to the survey results and mainly using the task-driven teaching method,the graphic programming learning activities are designed from the aspects of learner characteristics analysis,learning environment analysis,learning activities preparation,learning objectives and so on;Finally,taking "flying saucer transmission special effects" and "training ultrasonic bat" as learning activity cases,practicing learning activities in primary school information technology classrooms,through the usual classroom observation,students’ works analysis,student learning satisfaction survey and other ways to analyzes and discusses the effect of the application of graphical programming learning activities based on Codemao to the information technology classroom of primary school.The study results show that the learning activity teaching mode can enhance students’ interest in programming to a certain degree,and it has a stimulating effect on improving students’ hands-on operation ability and cooperation ability.I hope that this study has an effect to promote and develop of programming education in primary schools in China,and provide reference cases for teachers who are committed to programming education,I wish the development of children’s programming education in our country will be prosperous and cultivate more outstanding talents for the country.
