Tourism is an important carrier in inheriting the excellent traditional culture of China,and it is also an significant part of people's aspiration for a better life.In recent years,with the expansion of college enrollment,college students have gradually become an important part of the tourist market.Compared with other consumer groups,college students have the characteristics of sufficient time,abundant energy,plasticity and huge market potential.According to the characteristics of college students' tourism behavior,it has become an inevitable trend to develop flexible and diversified tourism products adapted to their consumption needs.This paper discusses the characteristics of college students' tourism consumption behavior in detail.At the same time,a questionnaire was designed,and a sample survey was conducted on Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology in Baotou.SPSS and Excel were used to analyze the tourism motivation and tourism consumption preference,so as to further conclude the characteristics of college students' tourism consumption behavior in Baotou.The study shows that college students in Baotou have a very positive attitude towards tourism,and they prefer scenic spots of landscape scenery.Their travel motivation is mainly aesthetic and relaxation.New media has gradually become the main way for college students to obtain information,and their travel ability is close to the national level of domestic tourists.Based on the research results,some suggestions are put forward for the development of college students' tourism market: universities should guide students' travel behavior correctly and tourism enterprises can develop more targeted tourism products to develop the tourism market of college students.
