Although mastering data analysis has become a necessary literacy for citizens in modern society,there are still many difficulties and problems in related teaching.Facing these difficulties and problems,more and more teachers and scholars begin to recognize and discuss the value of mathematical culture in the development of data analysis literacy,but this discussion is mostly limited to theoretical discussion and less relevant empirical research.Therefore,this study attempts to explore the role of mathematical culture in promoting the development of data analysis literacy with the help of teaching cases and experimental data.The specific problems to be solved are as follows:Question 1: can the integration of mathematics culture into teaching promote the development of students' data analysis literacy?Question 2: what are the strategies of using mathematical culture to cultivate data analysis literacy in teaching?This study solves problem 1 from the perspective of theory and practice.(1)Theoretically,based on literature review,this study discusses the reasons why mathematical culture promotes the development of data analysis literacy from three aspects: similar educational objectives,complementary contents and common teaching ideas.(2)From the perspective of practice,this study adopts the method of equal group experiment,selects two teaching classes as the experimental class and the control class,and the same mathematics teacher carries out three class teaching by using the teaching design integrated with mathematics culture and the traditional teaching design respectively.Before and after teaching,the students in the experimental class and the control class were tested before and after teaching,and three students in the experimental class were interviewed before and after teaching.After the experiment,the paired sample t-test was conducted on the test results through spss26.0.It was found that there was no significant difference in the three levels of data analysis literacy between the two classes in the pre-teaching test;In the post teaching test,there are significant differences between the two classes in Level 2 and level 3,and the level of the students in the experimental class is higher.In addition,it also analyzes the interview results of three students and the typical answers of the students in the experimental class.Finally,it comes to the conclusion that the integration of mathematical culture into the teaching of data analysis can promote the development of students' data analysis literacy.Through the analysis of teaching cases,test results and interview results,this study solves problem 2 and puts forward the following three teaching strategies:(1)teaching in a multi emotional environment;(2)Accurate matching of themes;(3)Skillfully use information technology.Although this study establishes the relationship between mathematical culture and data analysis literacy through teaching cases and experimental data,and supplements the lack of empirical part.However,there are still some limitations in sample selection and teaching time.Therefore,future research can choose a wider range of teaching content,extend the teaching time and increase the sample size,so as to better supplement and improve the relevant teaching case.
