| The geography curriculum standards for ordinary high school(Revised Edition2020)clearly states that geography should focus on cultivating the necessary subject core literacies for learners,and that geography core literacies are a highly condensed version of geography teaching content and thinking methods,which in essence is to cultivate students’ unique geographic thinking,correct values and geographic thinking and methods.The unit on "Industrial Location Choice" is about students’ comprehensive analysis of the natural and human conditions of a region and their proposal of a suitable model for regional development,the core of which is the idea of local adaptation,which is a high degree of condensation of the core literacy of geography.At present,many scholars have studied the ways of cultivating geographical thinking and the forms of examination,but the research on the idea of site-specific development is relatively weak.In this paper,we analyse the current situation of the teaching of the idea of local context through questionnaire surveys and lesson observations,and propose corresponding teaching strategies in order to better cultivate the idea of local context for students.The study consists of four main parts.Part I: Using the literature research method,the current situation of domestic and foreign research on geographic thinking methods is sorted out.In the first part,the research method is used to sort out the current situation of research on geographic thinking methods at home and abroad,which shows that there is in-depth research on the theoretical basis of geographic thinking methods in foreign countries,but there is a lack of research on the teaching level.In addition,the research background,significance,methodology and research path of this paper are also clarified.Part II: Based on the criteria for classifying the cognitive level of regions according to the high school geography curriculum standards and other scholars’ classification standards,the framework and criteria for analysing the questions in the "Industrial Location Choice" examination are established,and it is concluded that the questions in the "Industrial Location Choice" examination are mainly in the form of The questions are mainly in the form of subjective questions and small cut questions to test the students’ mastery of the idea of locational choice.The third part: a questionnaire was used to investigate the awareness of secondary school geography teachers in Tianjin of the value of education on "the idea of local adaptation",the integration of teaching resources,the selection of teaching methods and teaching evaluation,and the attitudes towards the factors affecting the development of students’ ideas on local adaptation.Secondly,in order to verify the authenticity and validity of the questionnaire and whether the teaching is in line with the objectives of the examination,eight lessons were selected for observation,to analyse and summarise the problems and causes of teachers’ efforts to develop students’ thinking about local context in the unit "Industrial Location Choice",and to provide a sufficient basis for the subsequent teaching strategies.In the fourth part: on the basis of the analysis of the current situation,strategies are proposed for cultivating students’ ideas about local context in the unit on "Industrial Location Choice".Based on this,a teaching case is designed to provide teachers with a reference for their teaching.This paper analyses the current situation of cultivating students’ ideas of localization in the unit of "Industrial Location Choice" from a variety of perspectives and proposes corresponding strategies. |
