In recent years,some adverse events caused by adolescents 'risk-taking behaviors have occurred frequently,which has brought various negative effects to individuals and society.Teenagers' risk-taking behavior is affected by many factors.Existing theories and studies have found that the family system is one of the important factors.As an important part of the family system,parent-child communication plays a guiding role in the development direction of adolescents.Self-control is the students' ability to control their own thoughts and behaviors.This study explores the role of self-control in the impact of parent-child communication on adolescents' risk-taking behaviors.On the basis of combing the relevant literature,this study explores the characteristics of adolescent parent-child communication,self-control,and risk-taking behavior and the relationship between parent-child communication,self-control,and risk-taking behavior.A total of 731 teenagers from 4 schools in different areas of Henan Province were surveyed using the "Adolescent Adventure Behavior Questionnaire","Parent-Child Communication Scale" and "Secondary Student Self-Control Ability Questionnaire".Perform descriptive analysis on the data,t-test analysis of variance,correlation analysis and other statistical methods,and Process plug-in for Bootstrap intermediary effect test.The results showed that:First,the level of adolescents' risk-taking behavior is at a low level,the parent-child communication and self-control levels are at the upper middle level.Second,there are significant differences in the gender,the origin,and the overall scores of adolescent risk-taking behaviors,recklessness,rebellion,and anti-society.There are significant differences in grades of adolescents' risk behaviors,stimulus seeking,and recklessness in grades;There are significant differences in the total scores of parent-child communication and openness of communication between the sexes,birthplaces and grades.There are significant differences in communication problems in the source and grade;There is a significant difference in gender between adolescent self-control total score and thinking self-control.There are significant differences in adolescents' thinking self-control in the source of students.There are significant differences in the total scores of adolescents' self-control and their dimensions in grades.Third,youth parent-child communication is significantly negatively correlated with risk-taking behavior and positively correlated with self-control;Adolescent self-control has a significant negative correlation with risk-taking behavior.Fourth,adolescent self-control plays a complete mediating role between parent-child communication and risk-taking behavior.Based on the above research results,the following educational revelations are proposed:First,mobilize the strength of all sectors of society to enhance parent-child communication and self-control.Pay attention to the mental health of rural youth and provide social support for their development.Second,mobilize school psychological education resources to improve the parent-child communication and self-control level of young people.Teachers should teach parent-child communication methods and skills to give full play to students' subjective consciousness.Pay more attention to the first grade students,listen to their voices,and promote their independent growth.Third,create a family democratic atmosphere and improve the effectiveness of parent-child communication among young people and the level of self-control.Parents set a good example for their children,respect their children's personality,form an equal communication relationship,and cultivate young people's sense of autonomy.
