Investigation And Research On The Current Situation Of Campus Safety Management In Rural Middle School

The physical and mental safety of teenagers is the foundation of healthy growth.With the convenience of information dissemination,large numbers of campus security accidents from different regions are exposed via the media,reflecting the management vulnerability in campus security management.To ensure students' personal safety,food hygiene,psychological health and building guaranteed safety system protection,scholars have done a lot of research,but which is relatively dispersive and not concentrated enough from an overall perspective,little attention paid to rural areas.The campus safety management in rural areas is ignored easily for the remote geographical location,students' enrollments,and backward educational concept.So,the author believes that the safety management of rural schools should be paid close attention too,it is necessary to give some investigation and research on it.It selects three rural middle schools as the survey object,and make a research on school infrastructure safety management,safety education management,safety management system,food hygiene management,activity safety management and peripheral security management of campus by using questionnaires and face-to-face conversation with students and teachers.The survey results found that these schools did good job on teaching infrastructure compiled with regulations,abundant safety education resource,sound campus safety management system,guaranteed food hygiene and safety,special attention to the safety of students' sports,and great importance attached to school access management and surrounding safety around the campus.But some problems and negligence are exposed,such as lack of campus safety education,imperfect medical resources collocation,inadequate supervision of extracurricular activities,many potential safety hazards around the campus,poor flexibility of safety management system,excessive reliance on head teacher for safety management,heavy tasks of head teachers,ignorance of students' psychological health.Therefore,education management departments should strengthen departmental coordination to ensure campus public security and increase financial support and give essential supervision.Schools should improve hardware facilities and campus public security management ability,pay full attention to safety education,and improve the flexibility of campus safety management system to increase risk response ability,and pay attention to students' mental health.Students and teachers should also participate in school safety management.
