Under the background of deepening the curriculum reform of basic education,the research on various classroom teaching modes has also shown continuous development.In order to achieve the goal of improving students ' scientific knowledge and scientific literacy in junior high school,it is more and more important to improve the efficiency of science classroom and students ' active enthusiasm in classroom.BOPPPS teaching model originated from Canadian teacher skills training is a student-centered teaching model that focuses on students ' classroom participation and coincides with the concept of educational curriculum reform.BOPPPS teaching mode is divided into six parts,including introduction,learning objectives,pretest,participatory learning,posttest and summary.This paper sorts out the relevant literature of BOPPPS model to understand its research status,concepts and theoretical basis at home and abroad.Secondly,a questionnaire survey of students,interviews with front-line teachers,to understand the current front-line junior high school science teachers classroom status,and its analysis.Then,the BOPPPS model of junior high school science classroom teaching strategy is formulated,and the model is applied to the teaching practice of the chapter of the characteristics of junior high school science materials,and the students ' scores and classroom participation in the experimental class and the control class are recorded and analyzed.Finally,the BOPPPS model in the first scientific teaching practice are summarized.Through the practice of BOPPPS model in science classroom,the author found that the teaching mode can improve students ' scientific interest,classroom initiative,classroom participation and communication and cooperation ability,so as to improve students ' scientific knowledge level and scientific literacy,in line with the purpose of junior high school science curriculum standard.BOPPPS model is applied in science classroom,students ' dominant position can be strengthened,and the core literacy goal of junior high school science can be better implemented.
