In the context of increasingly fierce international competition in science and technology,the future international community is also demanding more and more core literacy for talents,and the kind of people to be cultivated in education has then become the focus of discussion in the education circles of various countries.In this context,core literacy has become a research hotspot in the field of education in the world.The relevant staff members put forward instructions at the symposium on Tibetan work: bilingual education should be increased and put into practice to ensure that minority students have the ability to communicate with others through Putonghua.However,due to the late start,low starting point and poor foundation of Tibetan education,the lack of self-blood building function and the difficulties in cultivating local talents,these factors have caused a shortage of personnel in Tibet's self-development and self-construction,resulting in the slow development of Tibetan education.In Tibetan basic education,bilingual education is a more effective way to improve Tibetan students' Putonghua proficiency,and bilingual education can not only inherit Tibetan culture,but also make students have a stronger sense of belonging and identity to the Chinese nation.This study can promote the further development of Tibetan education and help Tibetan high school biology teaching to a higher level.This paper takes bilingual teaching of biology in Tibetan areas as the research content,and conducts questionnaires and interviews with students in different classes of the first,second and third years of a high school and teachers in several high schools in Lhasa area to explore the current situation of bilingual teaching of biology in Tibetan high schools from the perspective of core literacy cultivation,reveal the problems in practice and investigate the causes;based on this,we explore effective The purpose is to improve the core literacy of Tibetan high school students in biology and to explore a feasible bilingual teaching path.It was found that most Tibetan students have difficulties in learning biology terminology.This has to a certain extent hindered Tibetan students from laying the foundation of biology and improving their comprehensive ability,and many of them have lost their interest in learning biology as a result.Bilingual teaching can improve students' understanding of high school biology content,reduce the difficulty of Tibetan students in learning biology,and is extremely beneficial to improve students' motivation in learning biology,which is conducive to the cultivation of students' biology core literacy.The investigation shows that the difference between learning language and thinking language in bilingual teaching is an important reason for students' difficulties in learning biology content,and when students are in a bilingual environment for a long time,their ability to use and convert between the two languages gradually improves,and this situation will gradually disappear with the improvement of students' national language level.In conclusion,the results of this paper show that bilingual education is beneficial to the improvement of students' basic and comprehensive abilities in biology and the cultivation of core literacy.
