This paper focuses on action research through the integration of vernacular music into the junior high school classroom.Using vernacular music as a medium,the concept of cultivating patriotic youngsters in the new era is integrated into the school classroom to stimulate students' sense of home and country and inherit traditional culture.Based on the findings of the action research,recommendations are made for the implementation of a vernacular music club curriculum,which will hopefully serve as a reference and reference for the development of the relevant curriculum.In this study,30 students from Q Middle School in Qingpu District,Shanghai,were used as the sample for the study,and the differences between the samples before and after learning Shang Ta Xuan Juan were analysed through questionnaires and teaching recordings.The results of the study showed that the students were more receptive to the Shang Ta Xuan Juan and had a better grasp of them,and were able to achieve the predetermined teaching objectives through classroom appreciation,singing and clapping,imitation and creation,and practical rehearsal.In the process of learning the Shang Ta Xuan Juan,the students demonstrated a spirit of cooperation and research,and were able to be inspired to identify with their hometown culture and a sense of "ownership" of it.
