The idea of combining numbers and shapes is an important mathematical idea.It has great advantages and advantages in solving problems and understanding mathematical knowledge.The content of the "Mathematics Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)" emphasizes that: focus on cultivating primary school students’ mathematical thinking,on this basis,continuously improve the practical application ability of primary school students’ mathematics,and help primary school students improve their ability to solve mathematics problems.In order to understand the current situation of primary school students’ problem-solving ability under the combination of numbers and shapes,the problems and causes of problem-solving of primary school students under the combination of numbers and shapes are analyzed in depth mainly through surveys,interviews and other methods,and on this basis,targeted suggestions are put forward.On the basis of collecting and sorting out the relevant researches on the combination of number and shape,problem-solving ability,and problem-solving ability of primary school students under the combination of number and shape,determine the relevant core concepts such as the connotation of the combination of numbers and shapes and the connotation of problem-solving ability in this article.Cognitive representation theory,constructive theory and cognitive development stage theory are used as the theoretical basis for this investigation.On the basis of drawing lessons from previous research and the actual needs of this research,questionnaires and tests are carried out in terms of students’ ability from writing to drawing,and from graphics to columnar,and combined with teacher interviews and case analysis of training and training,to have an in-depth understanding of the current situation of the problem-solving ability of senior students in the combination of numbers and shapes.The research shows that the combination of numbers and shapes can significantly improve the problem-solving ability of primary school students.Specifically,through the combination of numbers and shapes,the ability to cultivate excellence and help poor students has been improved.Although the combination of numbers and shapes can improve the problem-solving ability of primary school students to a certain extent,there are still some problems for primary school students when they use the combination of numbers and shapes to solve problems.Their main problems include: firstly,the accuracy of primary school students’ drawing is low,secondly,elementary school students are prone to omit information in their drawings,thirdly,the development of elementary school students’ ability to combine numbers and shapes is uneven,fourthly,elementary school students fail to fully understand the meaning of the questions.There are the following four reasons for the problems of primary school students using the combination of numbers and shapes to solve problems:firstly,teachers’ understanding of the combination of numbers and shapes is not comprehensive,secondly,teachers lack the teaching experience of combining numbers and shapes,thirdly,teachers are lack the ability to dig out the teaching materials of combining numbers and shapes,fourthly,teachers do not cultivate students’ drawing ability in place.Based on the analysis of the above existing problems and reasons,this study points out that the following four suggestions can be taken to improve the ability of primary school students to solve problems using the combination of numbers and shapes: firstly,integrating various methods to improve teachers’ professional quality,secondly,strengthening school-based teaching and research to realize the integration of penetration methods,thirdly,using various penetration strategies to adapt to the teaching needs of different types of courses,fourthly,strengthening the cultivation of drawing ability,to promote the all-round development of students.
