From the process of scientific development,the process of scientific community constantly exploring natural laws is the process of establishing,testing and modifying scientific models.Therefore,models and modeling shine brightly on the stage of scientific research.And it has also been paid more and more attention in science education.Many educational programmatic documents at home and abroad emphasize the teaching of model construction,so that students can experience the process of modeling,construct their own scientific model,creatively apply the model to solve problems in new situations and improve their scientific literacy.As the implementer of modeling teaching,science teachers play an important role in students' learning science,modeling ability and modeling understanding.This study explores the performance level of modeling teaching and the understanding of modeling and modeling of science teachers in junior middle school.This paper takes four junior middle school science teachers as case studies and makes an in-depth and detailed investigation and Analysis on the four teachers in combination with classroom observation,video analysis,semi-structured interview and other ways,Study the specific performance characteristics and ability level of teachers in the process of modeling teaching and their understanding of modeling and modeling,make more teachers aware of the importance of modeling,and provide suggestions for improving teachers' modeling teaching ability.It is found that the four teachers have different characteristics.Y and F teachers have a good understanding of model and modeling,and pay attention to the interaction between students in modeling teaching.The process of modeling teaching is relatively complete,they can represent the model in the way of physical construction,and can systematically summarize the relationship between the elements of the model.However,teachers Z and W have great limitations in their understanding of model and modeling.The performance level of modeling teaching is relatively weak,the modeling teaching method is single,ignoring the evaluation,modification and application of the model,students have less autonomy,and the questioning and questioning of students are relatively simple and fragmented.
