Function is an important content of mathematics in senior high schools.Logarithmic function is one of the basic elementary functions studied in senior high schools.Mastering the concept and algorithm of logarithm is the basis for learning the image and properties of logarithmic function.The study of logarithm and logarithmic function is conducive to improving mathematical ideas such as the combination of numbers and shapes and classified discussion,and cultivating core literacy such as mathematical operation and mathematical abstraction.This paper mainly studies the difficulties(common mistakes)encountered by students in the study of logarithm and logarithmic functions during the first round of review of senior three and the causes for the difficulties,analyzes the differences of students at different levels(parallel classes,key classes)in the process of learning logarithmic,and explore ways to enable students to have a deeper understanding and mastery of logarithmic knowledge to facilitate teaching.This study adopts several approaches,including paper and pencil test,questionnaire survey,case interview and comparative experiment to analyze the common errors of students according to the test points of logarithm and logarithm function.It is found that students often make mistakes in solving problems that combines logarithm with other functions,and solving the classified discussion problems with parameters.Students in parallel classes are relatively deficient in understanding the concept of logarithm and using logarithm formula flexibly.By sorting out the research results,the types of errors are divided into knowledge errors,strategic errors and psychological errors,the causes are analyzed from the perspective of teaching materials,teachers and mathematics itself.And finally the corresponding teaching suggestions are put forward: pay attention to the occurrence and development process of concepts and the teaching of symbols in teaching;pay attention to the cultivation of students' ability to combine numbers and shapes,and learn to draw pictures independently;cultivate students to form the habit of reviewing in time and pay attention to the relevance of knowledge;pay attention to students' learning attitude,encourage more and enhance learning confidence;the teaching methods of review lessons are diversified to improve the awareness of positive thinking.
