This paper chooses the extracurricular homework of Chinese teaching in junior middle school as the research object.In July 2021,the General Office of the CPC Central Committee and The General Office of the State Council issued Opinions on Further Reducing the Homework Burden and Off-campus Training Burden for Students in compulsory Education.The core of "double reduction" lies in "reducing burden",efficiency enhancing and quality improving.Hence,giving the practical and successful experience in the project-based Chinese teaching and the inspiration of the design of English assignment,a series of problems appeared in Chinese homework in junior middle school were incorporated by the author,who tries to put the project-based learning into the homework arrangement,building a new project-based type of junior middle school Chinese homework mode.According to a large number of data from the academic community: in the past ten years,project-based teaching not only prevails in universities and vocational colleges,but also begins to be widely praised by teachers and students in primary and middle schools.Moreover,the project-based mode has been gradually promoted and implemented in various professional fields and disciplines,such as college of Foreign Languages,Computer Science,Media,subject of English,physics,chemistry and so on.Therefore,to inject fresh blood to the Chinese homework,stimulate students' learning motivation,improve the comprehensive ability of students' Chinese learning,it is required to be proofed that if the project-based Chinese extracurricular homework assignment in middle school can break the shackles of the traditional operation mode under the background of "double reduction",adapting to the new requirements of the Chinese curriculum reform.To be specific,this research combined relevant knowledge of pedagogy and psychology in order to stimulates students' Chinese learning motivation by assigning project-based extracurricular homework for middle school under the guidance of Chinese curriculum standards in compulsory education and the inspiration of constructivism.Chinese learning interests,teamwork ability,independent learning ability,aesthetic inquiry ability,innovation and creation ability,higher-order thinking development ability,analysis and problem solving ability,so as to expand students' ability of comprehensive language use and cultivate students' literacy in Chinese.Therefore,this paper mainly consists of five parts,the main content of each part is as follows:The introduction mainly discusses the background,literature review,purpose,significance,method and innovation of the research.According to the collected literature review,there was a lack of research in projectbased Chinese extracurricular homework assignment.But there are subjects have started the project operation and practice of design in terms of English,mathematics,physics,geography,in which English has made great achievements at present.The first chapter discusses how to design project-based Chinese homework in middle school under the background of "double reduction".The author refers to Chinese curriculum standards in compulsory education,middle school Chinese teaching objectives,and reads the learning tasks,texts,after-class practice from the whole Chinese textbooks in middle school,combining with the learning characteristics of the project to clarify the objectives of project-based Chinese extracurricular homework assignment in junior high school under the background of "double reduction".This paper classifies project-based homework assignment into practice and application,talent display and knowledge application respectively,and discusses the training purpose of homework from different angles.The second chapter discusses the design requirements and educational principles of project-based Chinese homework in middle school under the background of "double reduction".It discusses the practical and guiding significance,function and value of this assignment for students to learn Chinese from three parts: homework assignment with clear purpose and training requirements,stimulating the interest of participation,inspiration,and homework design with multiple levels and selectivity.The third chapter discusses the process and guidance of projectbased Chinese extracurricular homework in middle school under the background of "double reduction".It discusses how the middle school students do in the actual operation process to complete the task of preparatory work,how teachers arrange different forms of assignment,how to guide students to finish and present the homework,how to make comments on homework in details,in terms of the clear requirements from layout,completing process and tracking guidance,presentation focuses on evaluation.The fourth chapter is the implementation case of project-based Chinese extracurricular homework in middle school under the background of "double reduction".This chapter designs three referential and implemented cases for educators,which are: the editing and commenting on Chinese newspaper,textbook play adaptation and rehearsal,the implementation and assignment on debate competition.
