"The Opinions of the Ministry of Education on Comprehensively Deepening the Curriculum Reform: Implementing the fundamental Task of Cultivating People through Moral Education" pointed out that formulating the core literacy system is the key link to implement the fundamental task of "Cultivating People through Moral Education".As an important course of basic education,the geographical core literacy was proposed by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China in the Geography Curriculum Standards for Ordinary High Schools(2017 edition),that is,students should have four necessary qualities and key abilities:concept of human coordination,regional cognitive ability,comprehensive thinking ability and geographical practice ability.The connotation of geographical core literacy determines that its cultivation must be rooted in the real teaching circumstance.Research travel is a comprehensive practical course that can provide teachers and students with an open,practical and integrated geography teaching circumstance,which is fit with the cultivation requirements of geographical core literacy,and is an important way to cultivate students’ geographical core literacy.It is of great significance to carry out research on the design and implementation of research travel based on the cultivation of geographical core literacy.This paper takes the high school geographical research travel from the perspective of geographical core literacy cultivation as the research object,selects Tongren city of Guizhou Province as the research area.Based on the purpose of improving the geographical core literacy of high school students,the research on the design and implementation of the research travel program was carried out.The research of geographical core literacy and research travel were sorted out and summarized.The questionnaire survey and the interview method were used to investigate the current situation of research travel of Tongren high school.On the basis of combing the research travel resources of Tongren City,the cases of research travel for the cultivation of geographical core literacy were designed and practiced.According to the implementation effect and questionnaire survey results,the problems existing in the design and implementation of research travel are analyzed and corresponding improvement suggestions are put forward,in order to provide reference for local middle schools to cultivate the core geographical literacy of students.The main research contents and conclusions are as follows:First,the cultivation of geographical core literacy needs to be rooted in the real geographical situation.Research travel has the characteristics of practicality,authenticity and inquiry,which is in line with the cultivating method of geographical core literacy and is an effective way to cultivate students’ geographical core literacy.Second,through the questionnaire survey and interview method,the current situation of research travel of Tongren high school was found that.Tongren high school students have a strong willingness to participate in the research travel,and teachers have a positive attitude towards the role of research travel in cultivating geographical core literacy.But due to the difficulties of capital budget,safety and security,research program,tutor training,and research resource sorting,the implementation of research travel in Tongren City is still in its infancy.Third,according to the geographical core literacy and the content of high school geography textbooks,the tourism resources suitable for research travel in Tongren City were sorted out.Otherwise,the geographical research travel cases of High School of Fanjing Mountain National Nature Reserve,Tongren Grand Canyon and Wanshan National Mine Park were designed.Fourth,the cases of Tongren Grand Canyon were selected for implementation and effect evaluation,and the results show that: in the implementation of research travel,students can think positively and achieve the goal of geographical core literacy effectively.But students have not yet completed the transition from passive learning to active exploration,and the research ability needs to be improved.Fifth,based on the analysis of the current situation the research travel and the problems existing in the implementation of the research travel,suggestions were put forward,such as exercise students’ ability of research study,improve the training system for research travel mentors,actively build resources platform of research travel,promote the construction of curriculum system of research travel,timely optimize design scheme of research travel.
