Since 2015,writing in task-based pragmatic genres has become the dominant type of writing instruction,and research on task-driven pragmatic essay writing has been quite prolific.The persuasive essay,as a small branch,has received little attention.Meanwhile,writing courses have undergone three paradigm shifts: "article writing," "process writing,"and "communicative contextual writing.In the current perspective of communicative context,writing is a communicative activity in a specific task context,emphasizing communicative contextual elements such as purpose,reader,and topic.And as a result of communicative act,the structure of speech act of persuasive writing also includes persuader,persuaded,persuasive intention,and context.Therefore,the study of teaching strategies for high school persuasive texts is a useful attempt to follow the trend of writing and keep up with the research trend.Based on the current situation of teaching persuasive writing and writing problems,this selection adopts the research methods of questionnaire survey,literature study,and lesson analysis to investigate.The first chapter is a theoretical overview of teaching persuasive writing,first sorting out the constituent elements of persuasive speech acts and discourse sequences;then exploring the positive effects of conducting persuasive writing instruction.The second chapter first investigates the current situation of writing teaching from the teachers' perspective,and finds that there are mainly problems of difficult development of writing knowledge,ambiguous analysis of genre concepts,unclear design of contextual elements,absence of teachers to guide the writing process,and ineffective evaluation of writing teaching;then,from the students' perspective,the problems of weak reader awareness,ambiguous writing purpose,and inappropriate forms of persuasive discourse.The third chapter explores the study of strategies for teaching persuasive writing in high school,focusing on four specific aspects: developing writing knowledge,designing writing tasks,paying attention to the writing process,and improving the evaluation system.The concluding section explains the results of the study and points out the shortcomings of the current study and the directions for future efforts.This selection aims to take a peek at the current situation of writing teaching and students' writing problems,explore effective teaching strategies,and provide front-line teachers with practical and operable implementation paths,starting from the genre of persuasive writing.
