With the continuous advancement of education reform,strengthening urban and rural education equity has become a key measure to promote education equity,and understanding the differences between urban and rural education is an important prerequisite for formulating relevant measures.Under this background,aiming at the urban-rural differences in the effectiveness of history teaching in middle schools in Yangquan,this paper uses the methods of questionnaire,field visit,interview and so on.Questionnaires were designed from the two directions of teachers and students,and distributed according to the different geographical divisions of urban and rural areas,This paper collects the data on the current situation of history teaching in urban and rural middle schools in Yangquan City,then analyzes the obtained data and looks for the problems.The results show that:The differences of history teaching between urban and rural middle schools in Yangquan are as follows: In teaching methods,there are differences in the selection of teaching AIDS,the form and content of materials,the frequency and manner of teacher-student Interaction;There are differences in students' learning interest and motivation,learning habits,attitudes and methods of extracurricular learning,and differences in direct and indirect teaching effects.The main reasons for the difference in the effectiveness of history teaching between urban and rural secondary schools in Yangquan are the unbalanced investment in education between urban and rural areas,the importance attached to the history curriculum in urban and rural secondary schools,and the different social and child discipline concepts,the professional quality of Middle School history teachers in urban and rural areas is different.In view of this difference,some suggestions are put forward: schools should improve teaching conditions and standardize history teaching activities;Teachers pay attention to improving their professional ability and teaching methods;Families pay attention to home school joint education and cultivate their children's good study habits.Through this research,we can clearly understand the urban-rural differences in history teaching in middle schools in Yangquan City,and put forward some feasible suggestions,which has a certain reference and reference significance for improving the effectiveness of history teaching in middle schools in Yangquan,especially in rural areas.
