As a component of the textbook,the auxiliary column can not only enrich the content of the textbook,enhance the interest,but also provide learning strategies to further cultivate students' abilities and help the textbook to play the "study" and "learning material" functions.American high school history textbook Mc Dougal Littell edition of "World History" has a relatively mature set of auxiliary columns,diverse and rich in forms.In the research,the establishment of auxiliary columns of "World History" is explored through literature analysis and content analysis.First,analyze the definition,classification and value of the "auxiliary columns".Through data sorting,the auxiliary columns are divided into functional categories:information classification and retrieval,method guidance and learning guidance,knowledge supplement and expansion,and learning inspection and consolidation..On the basis of the above division,a detailed introduction and example analysis of the auxiliary columns in Mc Dougal Littell s "World History",and combining specific cases to discuss the structure and content of the auxiliary column "World The characteristics of the auxiliary column setting of "History": structural integrity and correspondence,comprehensive preschool guidance,multi-angle examination of learning effects,emphasis on social development and cultural interaction,and emphasis on network and digital resources.Then,combined with the national curriculum standards of American history,the purpose and significance of the auxiliary column setting are analyzed.The setting of auxiliary columns is conducive to cultivating sequential thinking ability,cultivating historical understanding ability,cultivating historical analysis and historical interpretation ability,cultivating historical research ability and training identification Historical issues and decision-making ability,in summary,summarize the experience of setting up auxiliary columns in "World History": interesting and scientific coexistence,auxiliary columns to guide learning,and diversified resources and network resources.Finally,combine the analysis content of the auxiliary column of "World History" and think about it in connection with the Chinese new unified edition high school history textbook.
