At the beginning of 21 st century,the version of history textbook in senior high school has been greatly changed under the guidance of History Curriculum Standard in Ordinary Senior High School(experiment),and the textbook columns with various colors with fixed name is considered as the most striking point.The course of knowledge is summarized as the essence of the column in order to help students to review and consolidate the learned knowledge which is very significant to students’ learning.The essence of column,as an important auxiliary part of history textbooks,not only help students consolidate history knowledge and master the difficult points,but help them develop positive values toward the history and life.Therefore,the research on the essence of column is of great importance in history teaching.The author applies research method of literature review and text analysis to understand the previous related studies and illustrate the present status of the set of class essence of column.And based on this,from the relationship between the destination,characteristics,and the text and the “Summary of Inquiry Learning”column in the “Principles of the lesson”,explained the “principle of the lesson”.The setting of the column,highlighting the value of the column,and using opportunities for internships deep into the school,using classroom observation methods,interviews,and other research methods to understand the application of this column in actual high school teaching.Based on the findings of this research,the author finds that the history teachers don not have a better understanding of this program and the majority of the students don not develop the good habits of preview and review,the after-class tutoring learning materials also prevent the application of the essence of column.To solve the problems,the author puts forward some corresponding suggestions.In response to the above problems,corresponding strategies and methods are proposed.On the one hand,teachers should pay attention to the “Morals of this lesson”column when preparing lessons and teaching,change the teaching concepts and teaching methods;teachers should strengthen self-learning and pay attention to the reflection after teaching;apply the “ministries of the lesson” appropriately according to the students’ situation.Columns.On the other hand,when instructing students to use this section,students should be guided to use the "Principles of the lesson" to prepare and review,for example,through classroom questions,assignments and other methods;attention should be given to the students to use this column in conjunctionwith the exercises after class.It is hoped that through the study of this section,we can urge ourselves to attach importance to the position of teaching materials in teaching in future teaching,and commit ourselves to the use and development of teaching material resources.At the same time,we hope to provide some suggestions for frontline history teachers on the application of this column.This prompted teachers to attach importance to guiding students to consolidate their achievements in a timely manner.
