General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized at the symposium for teachers of ideological and political theory classes in schools that promoting reform and innovation in Civics and Political Science classes must adhere to the unity of indoctrination and inspiration,focus on inspirational education,and guide students to discover,analyze,and think about problems.The application of heuristic teaching method in high school ideology and politics class can effectively overcome the drawbacks of traditional indoctrination teaching mode.Heuristic teaching originated from Confucius,it is important to study Confucius’ heuristic teaching idea and integrate it into high school ideology and politics class to innovate the teaching method of political class and cultivate students’ thinking ability.The main body of this thesis is divided into the following three parts: the first part is an overview of the application of Confucian heuristic teaching ideas in high school ideology and politics classes.It mainly discusses the connotation and constitutive dimensions of Confucius’ heuristic teaching thought,the characteristics of Confucius’ heuristic teaching thought and the significance of applying Confucius’ heuristic teaching thought in high school ideology and politics classes.The application of Confucius’ heuristic teaching ideas in high school ideology and politics classes is conducive to the inheritance of excellent traditional Chinese teaching ideas,the improvement of teaching effectiveness in high school ideology and politics classes,the improvement of teaching quality of high school ideology and politics teachers,and the cultivation of students’ innovative thinking ability.The second part is an analysis of the problems and causes of applying Confucius’ heuristic teaching ideas in high school ideology and politics classes.Based on observation and questionnaire analysis,it is found that the application of heuristic teaching method in senior high school ideology and politics classes has problems such as the lack of students’ subjectivity,the lack of inspirational approach,the lack of logic of thinking,and the less effective in developing students’ thinking.On this basis,the reasons for the above problems are analyzed.The third part of the thesis is about the specific measures to apply Confucius’ heuristic teaching ideas into high school ideology and politics classes.From creating thinking situations,enriching the form of inspiration,building a systematic thinking platform,and Improving students’ thinking skills.In this thesis,we will discuss the four dimensions of to improve the effectiveness of heuristic teaching in high school political classes.
