Junior middle school students are facing more and more academic problems,and academic burnout is common.Self control ability is a kind of spontaneous adjustment ability,which can be improved and guided.Good self-control ability is very important for teenagers.As a special group,junior middle school football players should not only deal with the learning problems of their peers,but also receive frequent and systematic football training and matches,which is bound to have an impact on their self-control ability and academic burnout,but few scholars pay attention to and study it.The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between junior middle school football players' academic burnout and their self-control ability.183 male football players from nine schools in Dalian city were selected as the research object.The mature and effective middle school students' self-control ability scale and middle school students' learning burnout scale were used to investigate their self-control ability and academic burnout respectively.The survey results of students in different grades and different training years were analyzed by one-way ANOVA and correlation analysis.Results:1.The average self-control ability of male football players in junior middle school is137.27 points,and the average score of each question is 3.81 points.The scores of self-control ability in each grade were 142.22 in grade one,130.61 in grade three and 136.73 in grade two.There were significant differences among grade groups(p<0.05);The scores of each training years were 144.43 points for less than 3 years,133.04 points for more than 5 years and 134.58 points for 3-5 years.There was a very significant difference between the training years groups(p<0.01).2.The average score of academic burnout of male football players in junior middle school is 40.86,and the average score of each question is 1.95.The scores of academic burnout in each grade were 45.67 in grade three,40.47 in grade two and 38.64 in grade one.There was a very significant difference between grade groups(p<0.01);The training years were 44.14 points for more than 5 years,43.62 points for 3-5 years and 34.45 points for less than 3 years.There was a very significant difference between the training years groups(p<0.01).3.The correlation coefficient between self-control ability and academic burnout of junior middle school male football players is r=-0.71(p<0.01),which has a very significant negative correlation.The correlation coefficients between each dimension of self-control ability and the total score of academic burnout and its dimensions ranged from-0.27 to-0.72(p<0.01).Conclusions:1.With the increase of grade,the self-control ability of male football players in junior middle school decreases gradually;With the increase of training years,the self-control ability of junior middle school male football players gradually decreases.2.With the increase of grade,the academic burnout of male football players in junior middle school is becoming more and more serious;With the increase of training years,the academic burnout of junior middle school male football players is becoming more and more serious.3.There is a very significant negative correlation between junior middle school male football players' self-control ability and each dimension and learning burnout.The correlation between behavioral self-control and academic burnout is the highest,and the correlation between emotional self-control and academic burnout is the lowest.The higher the score of self-control ability,the lower the score of academic burnout.
