In today's socio-economic service of education,students need not only achievements,but also academic ability.The junior high school stage is a critical period for young people's ability training.In order to meet the new requirements of society for education and better cultivate the learning ability of teenagers,Liaoning has promoted the reform of the senior high school entrance examination and raised the importance of geography in the junior high school stage.Based on the background of the development process of China's high school entrance examination and curriculum reform,this thesis adopts literature research method,case design method and experimental analysis method,and analyses core concepts such as situation,situation teaching and geographical situation teaching and constructivist theory,recent development area theory,situational cognition theory and geography teaching theory.Based on the survey results of the current situation in the application of junior high school geography classroom situation teaching method in Ganjingzi District,Dalian City,it summarises that the principles of science,diversity and emotion should be followed in the teaching design of geography in junior high school.In teaching design,multimedia can be used to create situations,take advantage of phenomena in life,current events and Appropriate entertainment materials create situations,use hands-on experimental design problems to create situations,and use the intersections of geography disciplines and other disciplines to create contexts to create situations,and use design examples to carry out case examples in Dalian No.76 Middle School Collect practical data,and statistics,analyse and compare data.It is concluded that situational teaching can increase students' interest,improve students' learning efficiency,help students internalise knowledge,establish knowledge systems,promote the development of teachers' personal ability,and help teachers create a harmonious classroom atmosphere.However,because situational teaching requires teachers to spend a lot of time and energy on teaching design,and also rely on multimedia equipment to a large extent,situational teaching has not been widely used in junior high school due to various objective and subjective reasons.However,with the deepening of the reform of the senior high school entrance examination,situational teaching will definitely open a new chapter in classroom teaching.
