| With the development of current education reform, basic education is getting more and more attention from the majority of educators. How to improve students’ learning efficiency and innovation consciousness is a common concern of basic education researchers. Therefore,it is important to find a teaching method that is suitable for students’ all-round development. The scaffolded teaching model is one of the teaching models under the constructivist learning theory, which emphasizes the all-round development of students.Applying the scaffolded teaching model to chemistry classroom teaching will help students gradually recognize and deeply understand the basic concepts of chemistry;increase their interest in learning chemistry;and improve their inquiry ability and active learning awareness. This paper argues that the scaffolded teaching model helps to cultivate students’ sense of innovation from the perspective of innovative talent cultivation and teaching model transformation in curriculum reform. The research idea and method of this paper is to summarize the way of using the scaffolded teaching model in classroom teaching based on the summary of literature. The core concepts and educational theories required in the implementation of the scaffolded teaching model are introduced to provide the theoretical basis for the subsequent research work of this paper. The data obtained through interviews and questionnaires with teachers and students are compiled and analyzed to understand the current situation of the application of the scaffolded teaching model in high school chemistry teaching. The discussion focused on how to apply the scaffolded teaching model in high school chemistry teaching, including the principles of instructional design, scaffolded teaching sessions, types of instructional scaffolds, and instructional design using the scaffolded teaching model. The results of the study show that the scaffolded teaching model helps to improve students’ motivation and interest in learning;helps to improve the classroom atmosphere and create a harmonious teacher-student relationship;helps to improve students’ performance in chemistry;helps to develop students’ collaborative learning ability, independent learning ability,problem-solving ability and logical thinking ability;and helps to enhance students’ sense of innovation and teamwork spirit. |
