Since the21st century, the focus of the competition among countries has changed frommilitary power to economic strength and talent. The development of education has become adetermining factor for country’s prosperity. The rapid advances of science and technology, especially in IT fronts, provide the education with unprecedented development opportunitiesfor development. Meantime, education is encountering tough challenges, thus makinginnovative education methods and education reform are imperative at the moment. Foreducation, Jiang Zemin, the former president of the People’s Republic of China, pointed outthat innovation lies in talent, and talent are cultivated by education. We should put theprotection and development of students’ issue-consciousness and the method of problempedagogy in the first place when we intend to protect and develop the students’ creativity. Theawareness and the capability of raising questions of students are the foundation of the senseand the ability of innovation. The chemical problems are the basic motivation for chemicalresearch workforce, and the development of chemistry is promoted by the solutions ofchemical problems. Therefore, the premise of developing the students’ creative ideation inchemistry is the cultivation of the students’ attention of the problems and the acuity ofproblem-raising procedure in high school education as well as making the process of solvingproblems is appealing to the students, and this is also of great significance to the attainment ofthe high-quality personnel who have the spirit and the ability of innovation. The new curriculum standards of high school chemistry make great demands on theculture of high school students’ innovation ability. On the basis of traditional teaching method, teachers should make efforts to scoop out thestudent’s potential, enabling them to master the key points of the discipline and at the sametime, developing their sense and ability of innovation, which is of vital importance nowadays. The following thesis is guided by the status quo of cultivating students’ sense ofinnovation in the process of chemistry teaching in high school, and is meant to analyze thesituation from the perspective of innovation awareness. Firstly we have the illustration ofinnovation awareness, then the analysis and research of the problem that have popped up inthe process of teaching chemistry with cultivating innovation awareness involved. Next itfollows the investigation about and interviews with high school students and chemistryteachers, and from which we can figure out the main obstacles in the process of developingstudents’ innovative capability. After what have been listed above are the correspondingsolutions to the problems. Five strategies are concluded after implementation of a series ofmeasures taken in the practice of chemistry teaching. And they are:①Arousing students’inner motivation to learn, motivating their inner drive;②developing students’ innovativecapability by motivating their learning interest;③instructing the students to learn in a correctway;④creating good atmosphere to learn;⑤developing the students’ habits. As a result ofthe innovation in teaching devices, we have productively inspired students’ interest in learningchemistry. And in class, students’ are encouraged to think and bring forward questions as anaccess to free their mindset, thus cultivating their innovating consciousness.
