In recent years,"core literacy" has become a hot topic in the field of education,and the report of the 19 th National Congress has put forward the fundamental task of "establishing moral education for people",which is the central embodiment of core literacy.artistic expression,creative practice and cultural understanding.Contextual teaching aims to promote students' all-round development and is a form and method of teaching that effectively implements the music teaching pathway.Teachers use a variety of tools to create diverse teaching contexts according to the psychological age of students,to motivate students to participate in music practice activities,to enhance their interest in learning,and to develop concrete image thinking,abstract logic thinking and creative thinking,and to gradually improve students' overall ability.However,with the advent of the era of "core literacy",there is little research on the creation of teaching contexts for core literacy in junior high school music,so the author uses the art curriculum standards as the basis and focuses on contextual teaching in the context of core literacy in music.The article consists of four parts as follows.In the first part,the introductory part mainly introduces the reason for the specific selection of the topic,the significance of the study,the current situation of research on contextual teaching at home and abroad,the literature search and its main research methods and innovations.In the second part,the concepts of core literacy,music discipline core literacy and contextual teaching are explained,and the differences in dimensions between core literacy and music discipline core literacy lead to the different groups they are subject to.The principles of contextual teaching and learning are: student-centred,inspirational and lifelike.In the third part,the six forms of contextual teaching are described,namely story,role-play,life-like,game,language and problematic situations.In the fourth part,through the analysis of the above outstanding cases of contextual teaching,the important role of contextual teaching in the primary school music classroom is discussed.
