A Study On The Group's Work Involved In The Emotional Support Of The Elderly Lost Only Child In The City Community

Although the family planning policy,which was gradually implemented in the1970 s,has effectively controlled the population and alleviated the economic and environmental pressure,at the same time,problems such as the imbalance between men and women and the growing number of people who lost their only child continue to emerge,and with the deepening of the degree of aging in our country,the number of people who lost their only child is expanding year by year.It is the responsibility of the whole society to pay attention to the problems and needs of the elderly who lost their only child.In the new era of increasingly rich material life,the emotional and spiritual needs of the elderly who lost their only child have become the focus of social attention.In this paper,the elderly who lost their only child in A community of Zhengzhou city is taken as the research object to discuss the effectiveness and practical mode of group work involved in the emotional support of the elderly who lost their only child in urban community.Supported by the social support theory and ERG theory,unstructured interview method and participatory observation method are used to analyze the current situation of the elderly who lost their only child.The elderly who lost their only child in A community enjoy the home-based care services purchased by the District Civil Affairs Bureau.In the early investigation,it is found that with the passage of time,the elderly who lost their only child have more and more obvious needs for emotional support.However,due to the current home-based care services are still in the exploratory stage and the service settings are not perfect,the existing home-based care services can not fully meet the emotional support needs of the elderly who lost their only child.In addition,the community can provide less support,which leads to the lack of emotional support for the elderly.Based on this,this paper uses the professional methods of social work to intervene the elderly who lost their only child,links the community,volunteers,universities for the elderly and other resources to provide emotional support for them,so as to meet the needs of leisure,entertainment,social interaction and emotional communication of the elderly who lost their only child in the community.Through group activities,we can help the elderly to establish new social interaction,express their emotions,establish an interactive and mutual aid organization platform,enhance their self-confidence and self-worth,and continue to live in a more healthy and positive state.However,the group work method has its own limitations,which can not completely solve the emotional support problem of the elderly who lost their only child.Efforts should be made from the government,society,community and the elderly who lost their only child,we should improve the government's home-based care services,advocate the whole society's concept of respecting,respecting,loving and helping the elderly,establish a community social work talent team,cultivate mutual aid organizations for the elderly who have lost their only child,and take care of them from their own and external environment to meet their emotional needs.
