Teenage age is the best time for everyone,and the youth group is also the hope of the rapid development of our country.China has a large population and a large number of young people.With the rapid economic development,the increase of migrant workers gives rise to a special group called "left-behind children".Whether they can grow up healthily and happily has attracted more and more attention.According to the existing research and my own practice in the community,the author finds that left-behind children in the community have the problem of insufficient interpersonal skills.After consulting relevant literature,the author roughly summarizes several performance of left-behind children’s insufficient interpersonal skills: emotional instability and prone to aggressive behavior,prone to anxiety,silent,rarely active contact with the outside world,etc.,and summarizes the causes of the problems and relevant solutions.Through the practice of left-behind children in F community of X county,the author conducted interviews and questionnaires on the left-behind children in the community,and roughly understood the current living situation of the children.It was found that the left-behind children in the community had problems of insufficient interpersonal skills,and most of them had the will to change the status quo.Their main problems at present are: lack of active communication,low self-esteem,violent tendency,indifference to family.At the same time,it summarizes their main needs in interpersonal communication: taking the initiative to communicate with others,learning the correct way of interpersonal communication,establishing self-confidence,and establishing a good relationship with their parents.In view of the problems and needs of left-behind children in the community,based on social learning theory and empowerment theory,the author designed six group activities,and each group activity aimed at specific problems and needs to improve the interpersonal skills of left-behind children.After the activity,according to the post-evaluation of the activity,the group activity achieved gratifying results.In the activities,left-behind children not only improve their confidence and ability in interpersonal communication and learn interpersonal communication skills,but also stimulate their curiosity to take the initiative to contact the outside world.At the same time,the author introspects and summarizes the activities,and puts forward relevant suggestions for the parties.In this group activity,the interpersonal development assessment form was used as the measurement tool to visually show the changes of left-behind children’s interpersonal communication skills before and after the activity.After the activity,the group members were invited to fill in the feedback form and put forward suggestions for this activity.Through this group activity,the author found that professional group work can significantly improve the interpersonal skills of left-behind children,which also inspired us social workers to consider similar work methods for left-behind children in the subsequent practice.
