A Study On The Emotional Changes Of Middle Aged Empty Nest Families

Since the 1980 s,with the development and implementation of family planning policy,China's fertility rate began to decrease,the number of family population gradually reduced,and the one-child family began to become a common form of family.At the same time,a large number of only children leave the original family because of the reasons of studying in other places,employment and the improvement of housing conditions,which makes the family change from a parent-child family to a husband and wife family.According to the existing literature review,most of the research is aimed at the elderly empty nest family,and there is less research on the middle-aged empty nest family.Based on this,this study takes the middle-aged empty nest group as the research object,trying to find out the life and emotional status of the middle-aged empty nest group.This paper mainly includes the following parts: the first chapter is the introduction,which mainly introduces the research background and significance of this paper,expounds the theoretical knowledge related to "middle-aged empty nest family",and sorts out the existing literature at home and abroad;The second chapter introduces the data and samples,and analyzes the current situation of the emotional life of couples in middle-aged empty nest families;The third chapter analyzes the main problems in the emotional changes of middle-aged empty nest couples,and analyzes the causes of the problems;In the fourth chapter,aiming at the emotional status of middle-aged empty nest couples,the corresponding adjustment countermeasures and suggestions are put forward for individuals,children,husband and wife and all sectors of society;The fifth chapter makes a further summary of this study.Through this study,the author found that: not all middle-aged groups will feel uncomfortable in the empty nest period,on the contrary,some middle-aged groups in the empty nest stage for example,people in their careers will feel more comfortable,and the relationship between husband and wife is closer than before;The emotional changes of empty nesters in different periods are different,and the factors that affect the emotional changes of middle-aged couples are also different.Many middle-aged parents in the face of a sudden empty nest period,due to the original life changes,resulting in psychological maladjustment,coupled with being in middle age,menopause and the emergence of middle-aged crisis,leading to the increase of negative emotions of middle-aged groups.Although most people can get through the empty nest successfully in the end,almost everyone will face all kinds of problems when they just enter the empty nest period,such as the imbalance of parent-child relationship,the reverse development of parent-child relationship,the psychological discomfort after the family returns to the couple's family,the change of couple's daily life and mutual adjustment,etc.This paper attempts to find out the influencing factors of the empty nest problem by studying the current marital life and emotional status of middle-aged empty nest families,and further puts forward countermeasures,so as to provide reference for middle-aged groups in dealing with the empty nest problem.
