Study On The Intervention Of Group Work In Spiritual Consolation Of Empty Nesters

With the change of the age structure of the population in China,the problem of the elderly has gradually become prominent in the social problems and attracted widespread attention.Under the background of the era of building a harmonious society,strengthen the recognition of the elderly vulnerable groups,at the same time pay attention to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the group,are not only the important task in the process of aging for the government and society,but also regarded as the important subject to be solved in the process of promoting social development,nowadays the elderly problems not only received extensive attention of the government and the social from all walks of life,It has also become the focus of academic research.Among the elderly,the empty nesters as a vulnerable group that needs to be paid attention to,are important issues in the process of national and social development in terms of their quality of life,physiological problems and mental health problems.With the shrinking of family structure,the problem of empty nesters has gradually emerged,this group has a lack of social support and emotional care.Usually,empty-nesters have problems such as insufficient social interaction,low self-identity and emptiness of spiritual world,and the accumulation of negative emotions easily breeds the need for spiritual comfort.Based on the above research background,this study hopes to use professional concepts and interactive skills flexibly in social work practice to alleviate the negative emotions of the empty nesters at the spiritual level in activities,and at the same time meet the empty-nesters' needs for spiritual comfort in practice.Based on the theory of advantage perspective,the theory of social support and the activity theory of social work,this paper collects relevant literature at home and abroad by means of literature research,gets to know the information and research results related to spiritual consolation of empty nesters,and summarizes and analyzes the defects and deficiencies in the current research process.It provides a feasible reference and a clear research basis for this research.The semi-structured interview method is used to interview the empty nesters and social workers who participate in community activities around the interview outline.Participatory observation method is used to observe the group activities of the service objects.Using the group work in the professional practice method of social work,this study took 10 empty nesters in X Community of Zhengzhou City as the research objects.Aiming at the current situation that empty-nesters' needs in spiritual comfort could not be met,five stages of intervention were carried out,and six group activities were planned.By analyzing the practical effect,it is found that through the intervention service of group work,the members of the group expand their social network through mutual help,enrich their later life through interest cultivation and skill learning,and enhance their sense of value through self-affirmation,the service goal is effective on the whole.But at the same time,there are some limitations,which are mainly reflected in the effective coverage of group work service,the limited duration of group activities,and the lack of professional social work services.In view of the above problems,the author sorts out the direction of correction,and believes that the service effect of group work involving the spiritual comfort of empty nesters can be improved by combining group work with community work,cultivating the self-help ability of empty nesters,improving the professional ability of social workers and other improvement measures.In addition,through the joint efforts of exerting the role of the elderly themselves,strengthening the family kinship support,exerting the auxiliary role of the society,and strengthening the leading role of the government,the empty nesters can be better provided with spiritual consolation.
