As one of the important basic disciplines in natural sciences,biological sciences study biological phenomena and the laws of life activities;biological experiments are the basis for the formation and development of life sciences,and are also an important way for students to truly understand and master knowledge.It can enhance students' initiative in learning and thinking,and cultivate their ability of inquiry,practice and innovation.With the continuous development of the economy,the society's demand for innovative and practical talents has become very urgent.Traditional education can no longer meet the requirements of training talents.Basic education reform is the general trend.Under the background of the nationwide promotion of the new curriculum reform,higher requirements are put forward for students' inquiry ability,practical operation ability,and analysis and problem-solving ability.Biological experiments can better cultivate students' core literacy.Therefore,the experimental teaching of biology courses should be strengthened.It is an important way to respond to the new curriculum reform,and it has a very important and positive significance for improving students' biological science literacy.Xining,the capital of Qinghai Province,is located in the northwestern region of China.It is an underdeveloped area of China with many ethnic groups.Its economic development is slow,educational resources are relatively scarce,and the educational foundation is relatively weak.As a provincial capital city,the development of basic education in Xining has been paid much attention to for a long time,and the experimental teaching of biology courses has also attracted widespread attention.However,there are still many problems that need to be solved in the actual biological experimental teaching,such as: It is common for schools to talk about experiments instead of doing experiments.There are differences in experimental teaching between key high schools and ordinary high schools,while private high schools hardly carry out biological experiments.In order to further understand the current status and existing problems of biological experiment teaching in high schools in Xining City,I used the questionnaire to conduct a questionnaire survey on 87 biology teachers and 1111 high school students from 7high schools in Xining City,Qinghai Province based on a large amount of literature review and analysis.,And conducted interviews with some teachers and students.The results show that:The opening rate of biological experiments in high schools in Xining is less than34.9%,and the situation is not optimistic.In general,experimental teaching is still in a "teaching marginal position." The specific performance is:(1)The laboratory's software and hardware foundation is poor.The utilization rate of laboratories is low,the open rate is low,the experimental funds are short,and the experimental instruments,utensils,reagents,and materials are insufficient.Ordinary middle schools and key middle schools lack professional biological experimenters,the experimental skills and teaching level of temporary teachers are relatively poor,the research experiment teaching is not strong enough,and they have hardly participated in the professional training of experimental skills.Biology teachers bring a lot of classes,the phenomenon of cross-course is widespread,the teaching tasks are heavy,the pressure is high,the class time is tight,the experimental class time is insufficient,and the experimental teaching effect is poor.(2)In the current teaching environment,schools,teachers and students pay insufficient attention to biological experiment teaching.(3)Biological experiment teaching evaluation and assessment system is relatively single,curriculum resources development is not in place,and students' interest in experiments is insufficient.Many factors such as education authorities,schools,teachers and students also affect the smooth implementation of high school biology experiment teaching.As a high school biology teacher,the author aims at the above-mentioned students' lack of interest in learning,insufficient attention,poor experimental understanding,and lack of core literacy in the subject.Starting from the classroom design,the author tries to propose improvement measures,and selects the teaching class as the experimental sample.A one-semester high school biology experiment teaching practice research,using SPSS22.0 software to analyze the data before and after the test,to study the feasibility of countermeasures.Practical research results show that: after the intervention,there are significant differences in the students' interest in biological experimental learning,the importance of experimental learning,test scores and the development of subject core literacy.In response to the above conclusions,the author puts forward the following suggestions on how to optimize high school biology experiment teaching:(1)Relevant educational functional departments should increase the investment of experimental funds,improve the relevant infrastructure of experimental teaching,improve the level of laboratory hardware and software facilities,purchase and update experimental instruments,utensils,reagents and materials in a timely manner,and improve the laboratory management system.The establishment of experiments provides relevant guarantees,and increases the utilization rate and open rate of the laboratory.It is necessary to build a high-quality teaching staff,equipped with professional experimenters,and the school organizes more professional training on experimental skills to enhance teachers' experimental teaching and research,innovation and experimental operation ability.Reasonably arrange biological experiment classes to reduce the extra burden on teachers,so that teachers can concentrate on teaching work,and ensure the smooth development of biological experiment teaching.(2)Schools should increase the importance of biological experiment teaching,pay attention to the overall development of students,actively encourage teachers to change the concept of experimental teaching,explore the reform of experimental teaching models,and pay attention to cultivating students' scientific inquiry ability.(3)Based on the development of students,improve the evaluation system of biological experiments,and attach importance to the development of experimental curriculum resources to enhance students' interest in learning.
