Group Work Intervention Research On The Cultivation Of The Awareness Of Mutual Assistance For The Elderly In Rural Areas

The phenomenon of aging in my country belongs to "getting old before getting rich",and there is such a phenomenon in rural areas of our country--a large number of rural young and middle-aged people pour into cities in order to improve their material living standards,so that most of the remaining in rural areas are the elderly.Facing the increasingly severe situation of population aging,the traditional family-based caring and community-based caring can no longer satisfy and are not suitable for the elderly in rural areas.In addition,the supporting facilities for the elderly in rural communities are not perfect.Mutual assistance for the elderly will develop into a new type of care trend,which may be a useful supplement or even a combination of traditional family-based caring and community-based caring in my country.Although there has been mutual assistance between the elderly in our country since ancient times,with the development of the market-oriented economy and the prevalence of social utilitarianism,the communication between people has become more focused on the exchange of interests,rather than based on common language and common hobbies,so that mutual help between neighbors is not so common,and the awareness of mutual assistance in rural areas of our country has gradually weakened.Taking the elderly in X Village of Chongqing as an example,under the guidance of the theory of social learning theory,this study uses the method of group social work to intervene in the cultivation of the awareness of mutual assistance for the elderly in rural areas,so as to solve the problem of elderly care in rural areas and explain the effectiveness of social work intervention in the cultivation of awareness of mutual assistance for the elderly.On the basis of understanding the current situation of the elderly in X Village and their awareness of mutual assistance for the elderly,in order to promote the elderly in rural areas to understand mutual assistance for the elderly,cultivate their awareness of mutual support,enhance daily communication and emotional support among the elderly,and combined with the elderly's pension needs,a total of six group activities were designed.At the same time,based on the four processes of observational learning,this paper guides the group members to observe and learn the relevant content of mutual assistance for the elderly,and provides alternative reinforcement resources for the group members through the learning field of the group,so as to achieve the purpose of finally enhancing the awareness of mutual support for the elderly.This social work exploration to cultivate the awareness of mutual assistance for the elderly in rural areas has achieved some obvious results.Through the formation of a friendly-neighbor relationship of mutual care and support,the needs of the elderly for daily care and emotional companionship are basically met.The interaction between neighbors and friends has increased,and the elderly have realized the importance of mutual assistance.By taking real actions to help others,the elderly have meaningful life in their later years and feel the happiness of "helping others".Therefore,the group work intervenes in cultivating the awareness of mutual assistance for the elderly,which can create favorable conditions for better promoting the development of mutual assistance for the elderly in the future,and also provide experience for cultivating the awareness of mutual assistance for the elderly in rural areas.At the same time,by summarizing and reflecting on the practical intervention of this social work,It is suggested that in the future,we should focus on consolidating existing experience and achievements,comprehensively applying social work professional methods,integrating various evaluation methods,increasing the publicity of mutual assistance for the elderly,and attaching importance to professional personnel training,which expects that social work can be used more efficiently to cultivate the awareness of mutual assistance for the elderly in rural areas,and it also provides ideas for promoting the development of mutual aid for the elderly.
