Study On The Resource Utilization Behavior And Influencing Factors Of Farmers’ Corn Straw In Jilin Province

With the increase of corn output year by year,the total amount of corn straw resources in China will reach 521 million tons in 2020.However,the traditional treatment methods of corn straw in most rural areas are still discarding or burning,which not only wastes resources but also is not conducive to environmental protection,thus hindering the realization of green and high-quality development of agriculture.Therefore,realizing the resource utilization of corn straw is of great significance to solve the structural surplus of corn straw resources and promote agricultural production to a healthy path of green,efficient,sustainable and circular development.On this basis,the study selects 8 sample villages from 4 corn planting counties of Shuangyang District,Lishu County,former golros Mongolian Autonomous County and Panshi City in Jilin Province,investigates the current utilization status of corn straw in Jilin Province from the aspects of farmers’ basic characteristics,farmers’ family characteristics,farmers’ land management scale characteristics and government regulation,and identifies the factors affecting farmers’ resource utilization of corn straw.The binary logistic model is used to test the influence degree and direction of the main factors on the resource utilization behavior of farmers’ corn straw,and then put forward corresponding suggestions,so as to provide important reference and theoretical support for improving the utilization efficiency of corn straw and realizing the sustainable and recyclable development of agricultural economy.The specific results are as follows:(1)The main utilization methods of corn straw in Jilin Province are feed utilization,fertilizer utilization and base material utilization,and produced better economic,social and ecological benefits.However,they are faced with the following difficulties in utilization:Farmers’ low attention and difficult utilization;The technology of resource utilization of corn straw needs to be improved;The government subsidy is limited and the enterprise development power is insufficient;The level of corn straw collection,storage and transportation is low.(2)By using the binary logistic model to analyze the influencing factors of farmers’ resource utilization of corn straw,it is found that the significant relationship of each influencing factor is as follows: Farmers’ corn planting scale,government publicity and government supervision are significantly positively correlated with the resource utilization of corn straw at the level of 1%;There is a significant positive correlation between the education level of farmers,the per capita net income of farmers and the resource utilization of corn straw at the level of 5%;The significance of farmers as village cadres and the resource utilization of corn straw is 10%,and there is a positive correlation;The age of farmers is negatively correlated with the resource utilization of corn straw at 1%.To sum up,this paper puts forward the following countermeasures and suggestions:strengthen the publicity and skill training for farmers to improve the utilization rate of corn straw;Accelerate technology research and development and promotion to realize the resource utilization of corn straw;Increase subsidies for farmers and support for relevant enterprises;Strengthen supervision and improve the policy of banning burning;Give play to the role of grass-roots village cadres.
