Research On The High-quality Economic Development Of Cities Dependent On Tourism Resources

After more than 40 years of reform,high-quality economic development has become the main theme of China’s economic development in the future.The traditional tourism cities with tourism as the leading industry,while relying on tourism to develop their economy rapidly,have encountered problems such as unbalanced urban industrial structure,insufficient innovation and low sharing level.Such cities face many problems in the process of high-quality economic development.This article reviews relevant literature and theoretical foundations,clarifies the connotation and requirements of high-quality development of urban economy,and summarizes the current development status of tourism resource dependent cities.It also elaborates on the problems that exist in the process of high-quality economic development from the five dimensions of the new development concept.Guided by the "new development concept",this paper constructs an evaluation system with 25 specific indicators in five dimensions of "innovation,coordination,green,openness and sharing",and selects six typical case cities from tourism resource dependent cities,namely Mount Huangshan,Chizhou,Zhangjiajie,Anshun,Lijiang and Sanya for analysis,And use the entropy weight TOPSIS method to analyze the high-quality economic development level of six typical case cities.The relevant results indicate that tourism resource dependent cities have a tendency to actively cater to the development of the tourism industry during the development process,which can easily lead to excessive reliance on the tourism industry for urban economic development,thereby having a negative impact on the high-quality development of the city’s economy;Empirical analysis shows that the overall level of high-quality economic development in tourism resource dependent cities is showing a positive trend.The six case cities are in a relatively low level of innovative development and coordinated development,while green development is at a high level.The level of open development is showing a repeated upward and downward trend,while the level of shared development is constantly rising.Through the analysis of the barrier factors of the six case cities,it is found that the innovative development dimension has the deepest impact on the high-quality economic development of the six case cities,and the green development dimension has the lowest impact.According to the above analysis results,this paper believes that the tourism resource-dependent cities represented by six case cities should increase investment in innovative development and strengthen talent training in order to improve the level of high-quality economic development;In the aspect of coordinated development,moderately diversify the industrial structure,extend the industrial chain,and narrow the gap between urban and rural areas;In the aspect of green development,consider the ecological carrying capacity to carry out tourism activities,develop tourism resources in combination with urban characteristics,strengthen legislation,improve laws and regulations,and improve energy efficiency;In terms of open development,improve the conditions of transportation infrastructure,build an open cooperation platform,diversify investment channels,and create cultural products;In the aspect of shared development,we should improve the social security system,improve the level of urban medical care,and increase the funding tilt in the field of people’s livelihood.
