| As an important part of the construction of high-standard farmland,Farmland Shelterbelt plays an important "umbrella" role in increasing and stabilizing food production in the main grain-producing areas, and has effectively guaranteed the promotion of the national food security strategy. However, due to the lack of awareness of the relationship between ecological protection and food production, the construction of Farmland Shelterbelt in some areas has stagnated and even deforestation has occurred, which directly threatens national food security and ecological safety. This paper evaluates the ecological security of Farmland Shelterbelt in the region based on the PSR model,in order to clarify the current degree of ecological security of Farmland Shelterbelt.Secondly, the influencing factors of respondents’ willingness to pay ecological compensation for Farmland Shelterbelt are analyzed from personal characteristics, social cognition, ecological cognition, social trust and green behavior;meanwhile, based on the results of ecological security evaluation, the six attributes of farmland forest network control rate, ecological security level, dry and hot wind days, average grain yield increase rate, artificial nurturing and willingness to pay are selected to construct the willingness to choose The Mixed Logit model was used to evaluate the public’s marginal willingness to pay and its compensation residual value,so as to solve the problems of insufficient financial sources and low compensation level in the process of ecological compensation-related policy formulation and to realize the benign and sustainable development of Farmland Shelterbelt. The results of the study show that the comprehensive ecological security index of Farmland Shelterbelt in Eastern part of Henan Province in 2021 is 0.7671,which is in a general safe state. The index value of ecological environment pressure is 0.5355,which is in a less safe state;the index value of ecological environment quality is0.8203,which is in a safer state;and the index value of ecological environment response is 0.8758,which is in a safer state. The ecological security status is determined by both natural and social aspects, the most important of which is population growth, reduced forestry investment, and reduced forest ecological service level.Controlling population growth, increasing forestry investment, increasing man-made management, and improving the quality of protective forests are the keys to ensure the ecological security of Eastern part of Henan Province protective forests.Among respondents’ personal characteristics, the degree of education and the frequency of outdoor activities have a significantly positive impact on willingness to pay for them;with respect to social cognition, respondents’ level of policy concern, level of information receipt, and environmental sensitivity have a significantly positive effect on willingness to pay;as respondents’ ecological service cognition and social trust increased, their willingness to pay increased.Among the respondents’ green behaviors, the more frequently they use "Ant Forest" and the more money they save for environmental protection, the stronger their willingness to pay, indicating a positive correlation between green behaviors and respondents’ payment behaviors. The ecological service value of Farmland Shelterbelt in the Eastern part of Henan Province is,in descending order, the average yield increase rate of grain(RMB51.42/year),the number of dry and hot wind days(RMB 39.45/year),the number of artificial nurturing(RMB 31.68/year),the control rate of farmland forest network(RMB 8.50/year),and the ecological security level(RMB 1.14/year),and the public’s average willingness to pay for improving and protecting Farmland Shelterbelt in the main grain producing area is RMB 267.46/year.willingness to pay is 267.46yuan/year,yielding a total full value of Farmland Shelterbelt ecosystem services of1.835 billion yuan/year in the main grain-producing areas in east Henan. On this basis, this study makes the following suggestions for optimizing the ecological compensation policy of Farmland Shelterbelt, improving the quality of forest land and ecological security through strengthening management and care;enhancing public awareness of ecological protection through government guidance;and establishing a set of scientific ecological compensation policies for Farmland Shelterbelt based on the public’s willingness-to-pay criteria. |
