This article takes the Silk Road religious architectural culture and architectural heritage "isolated island" as the background,studies the courtyard pattern of the Great Mosque of Huajue Alley in Xi’an,and analyzes the influencing factors and shape characteristics of its space formation.Through on-the-spot investigation and historical literature research.Sort out the spread of Islam on the Silk Road and the architectural expression of the transformation of the mosque form into China.Based on the research of religious architecture in Xi’an,combining the status quo space of the Great Mosque of Huajue Alley in Xi’an,the historical background of its construction is traced back.Based on the characteristic of assimilation of religious buildings on the Silk Road,through the comparison of the courtyard space of the Great Mosque of Huajue Alley of Xi’an with the mosques of home and abroad and the courtyard space of traditional Chinese architectures.The composition elements,spatial layout and building location of the courtyard pattern were studied,and a series of five-entry courtyard pattern with a continuous central axis formed by the intersection of East and West culture was obtained.And using the theory of building modulus to explore the space composition of the Great Mosque of Huajue Alley in Xi’an.After comparison and analysis of the collected data,a religious space with a multiple of "19".In addition,under the influence of the traditional Chinese ritual system of "selecting the middle" hierarchy,the Great Mosque of Huajue Alley in Xi’an has a form of orderly arrangement of continuous courtyard centers similar to the layout of the Beijing Forbidden City,and the traditional Chinese writing method is used to organize the courtyard space sequence to realize the ups and downs of the religious emotional space.Since the Great Mosque of Huajue Lane in Xi’an is located in the "one temple and one block" Xi’an Huifang residential area,the compound spatial form of " production-life" and " learning-worship" has formed.The core space is the religious space required for the liturgical ritual,that is,the worship space composed of the "entrance platform,the rolling porch,the main hall and the back kiln hall" in the fourth courtyard,forming a progressive sequence "opening,half open,closed " In order to adapt to the temporary flow of people generated during the worship of Muslims,it stabilizes the harmonious and unified development relationship between the temples and blocks.Finally,based on the religious architecture culture of Xi’an,the courtyard spaces of religious buildings are sorted out and summarized,and the different point spaces,the axis sequence of "center worship" and the shape characteristics of the inward courtyard layout are summarized.This not only enriches the study of religious architecture of the Silk Road culture,but also provides analytical methods and research directions for the discussion of religious architecture of Chinese ethnic minorities.
