Science and engineering is a discipline of studying natural laws and engineering technology.The development level of science and engineering and the comprehensive quality of science and engineering talents largely affect a comprehensive national strength and international competitiveness of a country.Therefore,the training of science and engineering talents has become an important focus of national talent training and the key to the development of universities.The training of science and engineering talents,should not only advocate science,but also promote the humanities;not only to teach work,but also to teach life.Ideological and political education is an important means to improve the humanistic quality of science and technology college students and teach them to learn to be a good person.The professional courses of science and engineering in colleges and universities are an important position for cultivating science and engineering talents.Under the new situation of the fierce collision of various social ideological trends and the increasingly diversified value orientation of college students,taking the ideological and political construction of science and engineering courses as the starting point,breaking the"parallel line" effect of disjointing professional courses and ideological and political education,maximizing the function of science and engineering professional courses in educating people,is conducive to comprehensively improving the quality of ideological and political education for science and engineering college students.Specifically,strengthen the ideological and political construction of science and engineering courses in colleges and universities is an urgent need to do a good job in ideological work in colleges and universities,is an important means to make up for the limitations of ideological education in ideological and political science classes,an inevitable requirement for the reform of science and engineering courses,and an important link in the comprehensive development of science and engineering college students.However,affected by professional attributes,curriculum characteristics,student characteristics and other factors,it is more difficult for science and engineering professional courses to carry out curriculum ideological and political construction,so it has become a "short board" in the construction of the ideological and political system of college and university courses.Summarizing the practice of ideological and political construction of science and engineering courses in some colleges and universities in Shanghai,China University of Geosciences(Wuhan)and Shandong University,it is found that the ideological and political construction of science and engineering courses in colleges and universities has achieved certain results,and has accumulated beneficial experiences such as highlighting humanistic feelings,building characteristic brands,connecting ancient and modern China and foreign countries,innovating manners and methods,and paying attention to the leadership of famous person.However,after empirical investigation,it is learned that from the overall point of view,the ideological and political construction of science and engineering courses in colleges and universities still has the problems of identity to be deepened,the ability to be improved,the carrier to be improved,and the operating mechanism to be improved,which seriously restricts the further development of the ideological and political courses of science and engineering courses in colleges and universities.In order to smoothly promote the development of the ideological and political construction of science and engineering courses in colleges and universities and ensure their practical effectiveness and long-term effectiveness,in the process of construction,colleges and universities and related science and engineering colleges and teachers must first clarify and agree with the specific principles and basic requirements of the ideological and political construction of science and engineering courses.The specific principles are the principle of moderation.the principle of organicity,the principle of synergy,and the principle of practicality,and the basic requirements are to conform to the thinking and cognitive characteristics ideological construction of science and engineering courses from the ideological point of view,and continue to exert efforts in the top-level design,combined with the requirements of the times,social reality,regional reality,and school reality to make the science and engineering courses ideological and political better and stronger,and make it distinctive.
