| In order to support national strategies such as innovation-driven development,"Made in China 2025" and "One Belt and One Road",and to train a large number of diversified and innovative outstanding engineering and scientific talents,China timely proposed the emerging engineering construction plan,which provides a new perspective and new impetus for the reform and development of China’s higher engineering education.Emerging engineering is a strategic action to respond to a new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation,and it is a new direction of engineering education reform in the new era.As traditional engineering majors,mechanical majors need to be upgraded to meet the requirements of emerging engineering and adapt to the constantly developing new economy and new forms of business.Artificial intelligence,cloud computing,big data and Internet of things and other new technology overturned the traditional mechanical industry mode,and they also put forward higher requirements for talent training of mechanical majors.High-grade CNC machine tools,energy saving and new energy vehicles,robots and other important areas need more talents to meet the growing demand.In the process of development,the scale of mechanical majors in China has been growing,and many achievements have been made in talent training,but there are still some deficiencies.The main problems include unsatisfactory training objectives,insufficient cross-integration of curriculum systems,outdated teaching conditions and resources,and insufficient engineering background of teachers.The paper analyzed the advanced experience of many universities in China through comparative research,and put forward targeted strategies and suggestions for the main problems in talent training of mechanical majors.The strategies and suggestions include:adjust the training objectives to meet the needs of the industry and establish the mechanism of continuous improvement of the training objectives;strengthen cross integration and optimize the curriculum system;further promote industry-university cooperation and improve practical teaching;strengthen the ability training of teachers and strengthen the construction of teaching team;improve the quality management system for talent training and ensure the quality of talent training. |
