Ecological Sensitivity Analysis And Protection Area Division Of Dayao Mountain Scenic Area In Guangxi

With abundant natural and human landscape resources,scenic areas are important carriers of ecological tourism,which gradually become attractive and desirable places.Also,scenic areas are highly characteristic nature reserves in China with a fragile ecological environment and difficulties in natural protection and restoration.It is of profound significance for the protection and cultivation of scenic areas’ resources and the promotion of their sustainable development to analyze the ecological sensitivity comprehensively and systematically and discuss the strategies and measures of grading,zoning,and classification protection.This paper elaborates on the research background,purpose,and significance,and reviews the current status of related research domestic and overseas.Also,the paper does a comprehensive survey of the natural environment and scenic resources in Dayao Mountain Scenic Area in Guangxi,analyses the ecological protection problems,and,based on Arc GIS,evaluates the ecological sensitivity of the scenic area,so as to explore the zoning of protection and resource-specific protection.The main results include:(1)The natural environment and scenic resources of the Dayao Mountain Scenic Area in Guangxi are investigated and analyzed.Based on the actual situation of the scenic area,the comprehensive evaluation indexes of the ecological sensitivity of Dayao Mountain Scenic Area in Guangxi are created,after selecting 9 index factors,namely,landscape source,elevation,slope,stand canopy density,forest vegetation,water body,land use type,road traffic,and nature reserve.Hierarchy analysis is used to weigh each index factor,and Arc GIS and weighted stacking are employed to comprehensively analyze and evaluate the ecological sensitivity of the scenic area.According to the difference in sensitivity,the scenic area is divided into 5 areas: extremely sensitive areas,highly sensitive areas,medium sensitive areas,low sensitive areas,and non-sensitive areas.Dayao Mountain Scenic Area in Guangxi generally has a comparatively high ecological sensitivity.(2)Considering the comprehensive evaluation of the ecological sensitivity of Dayao Mountain Scenic Area in Guangxi,the protected areas can be divided into four levels,namely,special protection areas,first-level protection areas,second-level protection areas,and third-level protection areas.The extremely sensitive areas of the scenic area are taken as the basis for dividing the special protection areas,with an area of 12,112.97hm2;the highly sensitive areas are taken as the basis for dividing the first-level protection areas,with an area of 2,902.53hm2;The medium sensitive areas are taken as the basis for dividing the second-level protection areas,with an area of 26,423.61hm2;The low sensitive areas and non-sensitive areas are taken as the basis for dividing the third-level protection areas,with an area of 25,487.89hm2.(3)According to the results of the survey,analysis,and evaluation above,this paper explores the special protection of the Dayao Mountain Scenic Area in Guangxi,and discusses the special protection and management methods for the four major types of landscapes in the scenic area,namely,core landscapes(sandstone peak-forests,animal and plant resources,forest ecosystems,ancient and rare trees,and water systems),human landscapes,characteristic Yao ethnic villages,and ecological protection along tourist roads,to provide a scientific reference for the protection and management of scenic areas.
