Research On Accessibility And Behavioral Characteristics Of Community Public Open Space

As our country’s social and economic development begins to shift from a highspeed growth stage to a high-quality development stage,people enter the leisure era,and urban residents have an increasingly strong demand for high-quality living space.As a part of urban public facilities,urban public open space is of great significance in the daily life of urban residents and is conducive to the improvement of the quality of urban life.But at the same time,the problems in the construction and use of public open space are becoming more and more prominent,revealing the accessibility of public open space and the behavioral characteristics of users in depth,exploring the preferences of users,and improving the vitality of the city and satisfying the growing number of residents.The need for a better life is crucial.Based on this,this paper takes the current social and economic development situation in my country as the background,based on the theory of time geography,behavioral geography,and spatial communication theory,and takes the public open spaces of three communities in Chang’an District,Xi’an as the research object,GIS spatial analysis method,Baidu thermal value and other data to analyze the accessibility characteristics of its space and its behavior characteristics at different time periods within the space,and further combined with questionnaires to analyze the time,crowd,and activity characteristics of public open spaces in Xi’an.This paper explores the factors that affect the behavior characteristics of public open space in Xi’an,and on this basis puts forward suggestions for the repair and layout optimization of public open space in Xi’an.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)The accessibility of public open spaces in the community has distance attenuation,and there are fewer users outside the 2Km range.Walking is the main mode of transportation for users.Different groups of people have different accessibility characteristics.The closer the distance is,the higher the frequency of user visits;(2)In terms of the time characteristics of space users,community public open spaces have the characteristics of "M",and the trend of working days and rest days is the same,but there are more people on rest days than working days.Most of the users stay in the space within 1-2.5 hours,18-19 pm is the peak time to reach the space,and20-21 pm is the peak time to leave the space;(3)The overall trend of the heat map difference between working days and rest days is similar,but the heat value of rest days is more obvious than that of work days,and the time period is delayed compared with work days,and the heat map can only reflect the use of space trend;(4)In terms of the population characteristics of space users,there are great differences among different populations.In terms of age,the majority of users are over50 years old;in terms of occupation,there are a large number of retired and unemployed people;(5)In terms of the activity characteristics of space users,walking,sitting,playing cards and parent-child activities are the activities with the largest number of people in the public open spaces of the three communities in the case area.
