| With global warming and increasing energy consumption, developed countries such as the United States,Japan and the European Union are actively promoting the electronic transformation of vehicles, while new market economies such as China and India are also accelerating the development of pure electric vehicles to cope with the increasingly severe problem of energy consumption.Although certain achievements have been made and the development environment is in a favorable position in the world, and it has different advantages over the US,India,Japan and Europe in terms of market, public facilities guarantee ability and industrial chain policy effectiveness, facing fierce competition in the international market, the export volume of domestic pure electric vehicles is relatively small, and some core components have not been fully produced. The international competitiveness of pure electric vehicles in China still needs to be improved. Therefore, studying the development status of pure electric vehicle industry and understanding its international competitive position is of great significance to the selection and adjustment of national industrial strategy.Through qualitative and quantitative analysis methods, this paper makes an in-depth discussion on the development status and market competitiveness of China’s pure electric vehicle industry.First, this paper reviews the theory and index system of market competitiveness, and analyzes the research results of China’s pure electric vehicle industry. Then, through the data of four indicators(global competitiveness, trade competitiveness index, demonstrative competitive advantage and demonstrative industry competitive advantage),the paper compares the development trend of pure electric vehicle industry in China, the United States,India,Japan and Europe. From the perspective of micro enterprises, this paper studies the pure electric vehicle industry of India, the United States,Japan and Europe from six aspects, including industrial competitiveness, industrial chain integrity, public infrastructure guarantee ability, innovation ability and market openness,so as to construct a horizontal comparison between China and the world’s major pure electric vehicle countries or regions. Finally, with the help of Porter’s diamond model, this paper focuses on government policies and technological innovation to explore the factors affecting the international competitiveness of China’s pure electric vehicle industry. This study found that China’s pure electric vehicle industry has international leading advantages in terms of market size, industrial chain integrity and public infrastructure support ability, but also has problems such as insufficient international market share, low market openness and internationalization ability, lack of competitiveness of independent brands, and dependence on imports of some core components and raw materials. From the perspective of trade-related indicators of international competitiveness, the international competitiveness of pure electric vehicles in China is weak.A series of policies adopted by the Chinese government have provided strong support for the development of the pure electric vehicle industry, thus promoting the sustainable development of the industry. In addition,China leads the world in technological innovation in battery technology for pure electric vehicles, while its technological capability in electric control and motor direction still needs to be improved. Finally, this paper puts forward relevant policy suggestions on how to enhance the international competitiveness of China’s pure electric vehicle industry.Including in the policy aspect to continue to deeply optimize and explore the policy system supporting the development of pure electric vehicles, the market aspect to continue to improve the diversified product layout, technology to achieve a breakthrough in the core field and extend the development of the industrial chain, the business model to help enterprises realize the value of the innovative mode, the construction of infrastructure to multidimensional acceleration. |
