With the gradually severe trend of energy and environmental issues,new energy industry of which the new energy vehicle industry is an important part is on the rise.Major vehicle firms all of the word have seen new energy vehicle as a part of its strategic direction and gradually developed a new energy vehicle industry development goals.Social resources have flowed into new energy vehicle-related industries who are constantly seeking new business models under the stimulation of capital.The development of the new energy vehicle industry involves not only industrial adjustment and economic transformation,but also the division of labor of the vehicle industry.It is not only the requirement of the green development concept,but also the key to fostering new growth points.Therefore,how to enhance the competitiveness of the new energy vehicle industry has become the core issue for the sustainable development of China's vehicle industry.This paper firstly introduces main characteristics of the new energy automobile market in China and foreign countries,combined with the current situation of China's new energy vehicle trade,such as low average price of export products,single structure,serious trade deficit,etc.,pointing out that China is a great new energy vehicle country in terms of production and sales,but not a strong new energy vehicle country in terms of industry competitiveness,then use the "diamond model" as an analytical framework to conduct an in-depth analysis of the international competitiveness of China's new energy auto industry,and on this basis,objectively evaluate the international competitiveness of China's new energy auto industry by comparing the advantages and disadvantages between China and foreign countries in terms of production factors,demand conditions,corporate strategy and structure,government behavior,and related support industry.Problems will be identified at the current stage,such as insufficient investment in technical elements and high risk of transitional policies.Finally,make recommendations to enhance the international competitiveness of China's new energy automotive industry as reference for government and enterprises.
