Research On The Optimization Strategy Of Residential Public Space Under The Concept Of Suitable For The Elderly

With the aging of the population,sojourn is becoming a hot topic as it is favored by elderly individuals.The configuration mode and utilization efficiency of public space is one of the core issues of building design for elderly individuals,and it is also a key indicator that reflects the quality of life of residents and affects their health.Although there are many practical cases of elderly-friendly residential space design,theoretical research on elderly-friendly residential public space is rare,and there is no isolation area design for suddenly occurring infectious diseases.Exploring the common problems in the public space for elderly individuals,the actual needs of the elderly for public space,and optimizing the design of the space,have been gradually developed into important research topics,and it is an important way to cope with the ageing of the population.This article first reviewed research on elderly building design and residential care.Based on the that,the research objectives of this article were proposed.According to the existence,relatedness and growth(ERG)theory and other related theories,this research divided the living public space into three parts including living space,social space and learning space,developed questionnaires,and invited 15 experts to make comments.Taking the southern Hunan area as an example,we distributed the adjusted questionnaire and conducted a field interview survey in the southern Hunan area,built a structural equation model to analyse and verify the demand characteristics of the elderly for living public space,and provided theoretical support for optimizing living public space.According to the results of the questionnaire,the public medical and chat space were selected as the key research topics.Through consulting materials,interviews and consultation,we selected a representative residential building with rich public space in the tourist attractions of Yongzhou,Chenzhou and Hengyang to investigate,and record the characteristics of the daily activities of the elderly in the space.Using the relevant knowledge of statistics,this paper makes a comparative analysis of the results,and summarizes the problems and influencing factors of the main living public space in southern Hunan.According to the specific problems and the materials consulted,this paper proposes some optimization design strategies for the public restroom,medical space,chat space and so on,which apply the strategies to the tourist hotel in Hengyang to optimize the original scheme.Finally,the future development trend of ageing suitable living public space was put forward,so as to provide a certain theoretical basis and practical experience for the design and development of ageing suitable vacation living public space.
