With the rapid development of the world economy and the continuous increase in trade volume, shipping has become the most common mode of transportation in international trade and plays an extremely important role in the world’s logistics industry. For ships to carry cargo between sea and land, the port plays a key role.As a bridge connecting land and sea,the port can play the role of transferring goods between the inland and the front of the terminal. It can also provide ships with cargo loading and unloading services through professional equipment. It is an important step in the maritime transportation process. The service efficiency of the port will have a great impact on the total efficiency of the transportation chain. In recent years, the volume of maritime traffic has increased year by year, and the size of the fleet that needs to pass through the port has also been expanding. This has caused the port’s business volume and operating pressure to surge, and it has posed serious challenges to its own service capabilities. In order to cope with the problem of improving service efficiency and seize the excellent opportunities for development, many ports have taken improvement measures, such as widening the channel to demand more ships to sail in the port. The construction of a duplex channel in Tianjin Port is a typical case of a port in my country. With its width advantage, the compound channel adopts the rule that large ships travel in one direction in the middle and small ships travel in both directions on both sides,so that the passing capacity of the channel has been improved. However, the use of compound waterways will also make it more difficult to manage. If there is no scientific management plan to support it,it will bring safety hazards to ships in the harbor. In addition,in order to further enhance the port ship scheduling capability in the complex operating environment, the phenomenon of ship arrival delays should be considered, which will help improve the stability of the port system and is a difficult problem that managers need to pay attention to.This paper focuses on the research of a scientific approach to optimize the sequence of ships entering and leaving the port based on the rules of the compound channel, taking into account the delay of the ship’s arrival.First, collect the literature on channel operation and channel traffic efficiency, ship scheduling optimization problems and interference recovery problems.Analyze the current research status and existing shortcomings in related fields, and then elaborate the innovation and difficulties of the research in this article.Secondly,in order to provide a theoretical basis for follow-up research, this paper gives a detailed introduction to the compound channel, ship scheduling problems and intelligent optimization algorithms.Based on the research content of this article, using the Tianjin Port compound channel operation rules as a prototype, the problem is described, and reasonable basic assumptions are being made. After that, the required parameters were set,and the constraints that needed to be considered were explained in detail. An optimization model for ship entry and exit sequence re-dispatching under the double channel was established. The characteristics and difficulties of the research problem were analyzed. On the basis of genetic algorithm, adaptive rules are introduced to improve its local search ability. The algorithm’s use process is introduced in detail. The method used in this article is actually applied by the analysis experiment of an example. It considers two ship postponement scenarios, and the effectiveness and superiority of the algorithm are verified.
