Wireless power transfer(WPT)system has played an important role in rail transit,industrial production and daily life.With the help of WPT driving system,the flexibility of the machine arm can be increased,the cost of rail transport can be reduced and the use of complex cable network can be avoided in the underground pipe network.It is of great significance to improve the reliability,automation,safety as well as operation and maintenance cost of industrial production and transportation.This paper proposes a wireless power transfer permanent-magnet synchronous motor(WPT-PMSM)drive system based on the matrix converter(MC).The direct conversion of low-frequency AC and high-frequency AC is realized without DC link by using MC.The lifetime,reliability and power density can be further improved.Firstly,the WPT-PMSM drive system based on MC is designed.By comparing and analyzing the equivalent circuit of coupling coils,various compensation networks and MCs,the topology composed of full bridge converter,LCC compensation network and six groups bidirectional switches MC is designed The zero voltage switching of full bridge converter and the four-step commutation method of MC have been introduced respectively.In addition,special modulation strategy for MC is implemented which can realize direct conversion from high frequency AC to low frequency AC without DC-link voltage.The correctness of the theoretical analysis and the topology together with control strategy are verified by simulation and experimentThen a dc power supply WPT-PMSM drive system based on MC is put forward Through detail analysis of the compensation network and element stress,the coordinated control method of the converters on both sides of the coils is proposed.The reactive power of the LCC compensation network is eliminated.Simulation and experiment are carried out to verify the validity of the topology,modulation and control method.A further study is implemented on a grid power supply WPT-PMSM drive system based on MC The MC based WPT system on the grid side and the three-phase voltage source inverter PMSM drive system on the motor side are theoretically analyzed and designed respectively.The transfer function modeling and controller design of the three-phase PMSM drive system are studied The effectiveness of the proposed PMSM drive system and control method based on MC is verified by simulation and experimentLastly,comparison has been conducted between the MC based WPT topology and the typical topology in efficiency and device stress through theoretical analysis and PLECS simulation.
