Analysis And Application Of Mr.Feng Jizhongs Gardening Theory

After more than 3,000 years of development,Chinese classical gardens are the material carriers of Chinese traditional culture,and its gardening concept of "learning from nature,the concept of harmony between man and nature." has unique historical and aesthetic value.However,in the process of development of modern Chinese gardens,due to the lack of a clear understanding of the history and development trend of landscape architecture,the continuity of classical Chinese garden culture has been ignored,and Western formalist design has been blindly worshipped.With the improvement of economic development and cultural self-confidence,the theoretical and practical works of landscape artists represented by Tong Huan,Chen Congzhou,Feng Jizhong and others in the exploration of the modernization of classical Chinese gardens in modern times have been mentioned again,pointing out the direction for the development of China’s landscape architecture "from the ancient to the new".Based on Mr.Feng Jizhong’s academic career,design philosophy and design works,this paper systematically summarizes the theoretical and practical achievements of Feng Jizhong’s gardening method by using research methods such as literature induction method,abductive analysis method,case analysis method,and comparative research method.Firstly,its contributions to academic experience,architectural education,urban planning,landscape architecture,poetry and literature are reviewed and sorted out in chronological order,and the sources of their gardening methods are summarized and analyzed.Secondly,the design theory is sorted out into three parts: space creation,feeling quantity creation,and artistic conception creation,and the specific implementation steps of its gardening theory are extracted as follows: analysis of the current situation due to snobbery,division of the characteristics of the esoteric space,determination of spatial sight,organization of spatial sequence,and strengthening of spatial penetration.Then deeply analyze Feng Jizhong’s square tower garden design practice,and further summarize the application details of his gardening theory.Finally,Try to apply Feng’s gardening method to design practice guidance.This study selects Chongfa Temple Park in Yongcheng,Henan Province as the research object,combines the characteristics of the history and culture in the site and the protective characteristics of the Chongfa Temple Pagoda,and analyzes the project location,natural conditions,history and culture,surrounding overview,site status and population characteristics,and carries out the transformation concept according to the situation.Give full play to the historical characteristics of the site,divide the spatial esoteric characteristics on the basis of the original site,organize the line of sight,build a rich spatial pattern,and create a poetic garden space that is "new with the ancient".Through the systematic combing and specific analysis of Feng Jizhong’s gardening method,and summarizing it into specific design steps,this study guides the landscape transformation design of Chongfa Temple Park in Yongcheng,in order to open up new ideas of modern design theory of classical Chinese gardens and explore the historical continuation of "ancient as new" in classical Chinese gardens.
