Some urban rail transit in China has entered the stage of network operation.How to improve the service level of rail transit and optimize the travel structure has become an important research field.Park and Ride(P&R)is a kind of travel mode to guide peripheral travelers to transfer rail transit.Through the construction of P&R facilities in the peripheral sites of urban rail transit,it can attract peripheral travelers in the central city,improve the utilization rate of the site,and reduce the amount of car traffic entering the central area.At present,park and ride has been implemented in large cities in China to some extent,but there are still some problems in the overall operation situation,such as the low utilization rate of P&R facilities at some stations and insufficient connection with the peripheral rail transit network.Therefore,it is of great theoretical significance and practical value to research the park and ride behavior and strategy of rail transit stations under the condition of network to improve the operation status and optimize the configuration of P&R facilities.Based on the analysis of park and ride travel demand,this paper investigates the park and ride behavior of travelers in Nanjing.Based on the travel survey data,this paper uses the analytic hierarchy process to study the differences in influencing factors of park and ride behavior under the condition of rail transit without network and network.The results show that walking distance and total travel time have significant influence on travelers under the condition of unconnected network.Under the network condition,travelers pay more attention to transfer convenience and transfer times in addition to the total travel time.Based on the main influencing factors of park and ride under network conditions,the Latent Class Model is applied to explore the potential influencing factors of park and ride.According to the sensitivity analysis results of travelers to various influencing factors,four potential categories were divided: ’transfer convenience sensitivity’,’total travel time sensitivity’,’transfer times sensitivity’ and ’parking space number sensitivity’.Considering the influence of transfer convenience and transfer times on travelers’ park and ride behavior,the Cross-Nested Logit model with different transfer convenience and transfer times as upper nests was constructed by selecting travelers’ characteristic variables.It is found that the traveler characteristic variables in Cross-Nested Logit model have significant influence on the node selection and travel mode selection behavior of rail transit network.Travelers are more likely to choose park and ride when the transfer convenience increases or the times of transfers decreases.SWOT method is used to analyze the internal advantages and disadvantages,external opportunities and threats of park and ride in rail transit stations under the condition of network.Combined with the travelers’ preference for park and ride,the transfer convenience and transfer times are considered respectively,and strategies are proposed at the two levels of P&R facilities construction and government decision-making management.The research on park and ride behavior and strategy of rail transit station under the condition of network is helpful to improve the utilization rate of P&R facilities and improve the park and ride service,which has certain reference significance for the development and construction of P&R in the later period.
