To support the achievement of the goals of "carbon peak" and "carbon neutrality",China’s industries are shifting from traditional manufacturing,which is high-energyconsuming,highly-polluting,and high-emission,to a higher-quality green manufacturing industry.The establishment of a low-carbon and environmentally friendly modern economic system has become the focus of national development.Against this backdrop,the new energy vehicle industry has emerged.Stimulated by subsidy policies and market demand,China’s market share of new energy vehicles has continued to increase,placing it in a leading position internationally.Therefore,whether the new energy vehicle industry can maintain its current growth momentum becomes a key issue for the industry’s development.Among them,the profit model is an important comprehensive reflection of enterprise commercial operation.Analyzing the profit model of enterprises can help companies better understand their own operating conditions and facilitate the mobilization of internal and external resources to enhance their core competitiveness.This is particularly critical for emerging industries like the new energy vehicle industry what building an effective profit model to improve profitability levels and competitive advantages is a focus for all companies in the sector.As a new force in the new energy vehicle industry,NIO continuously shapes its business philosophy centered around customer experience on the basis of realizing product intelligence.By selecting NIO as the research object of this article,we provide feasibility for studying the development status of profit models for new energy vehicle enterprises.Based on the literature review and research on the profit model,this paper first uses a case analysis method to analyze the five elements of NIO’s profit model.Secondly,in the construction of NIO’s profit model evaluation system,this paper uses a questionnaire survey method and literature research method to construct a four-dimensional evaluation system based on industry characteristics and NIO’s development status,including customer interface,business operations,profit acquisition,and competitive advantage.Thirdly,this paper combines entropy value method and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to comprehensively evaluate the operation status of NIO’s profit model in 2021 based on the four-dimensional evaluation system.Afterwards,further discussion and interpretation of the evaluation results are made based on relevant performance data of NIO.Finally,based on the analysis and summary of the results of the profit model analysis and evaluation,recommendations for optimizing NIO’s profit model are proposed to provide reference examples for the development of other new energy vehicle companies in China.The main research findings of this paper are as follows: first,NIO has vigorously invested in product research and development,actively shaping its brand image,and adopted a profit model that synchronously drives both R&D and brand marketing.Second,NIO’s profit model has overall excellent performance,with outstanding performance in customer interface,business operations,and competitive advantages,but relatively low levels of profit acquisition due to the relatively low weight of this evaluation dimension,which has little impact on the overall evaluation level of NIO’s profit model.It still demonstrates excellent development potential in the enterprise market.Third,NIO’s profit model issues mainly include single product positioning,high period costs,and centralized procurement of core raw materials.Accordingly,this paper proposes the following optimization suggestions: synchronous promotion in new and old markets,improving the efficiency of related activities,strengthening cooperation with core suppliers to help NIO optimize profit model operation and bring benefits to the sustainable development of the industry. |
