| The efficiency and efficiency of resource utilization are important criteria for evaluating the level of reuse of abandoned space. In today’s practice of reusing abandoned building communities, the functions, location, volume, and spatial organization are not very compatible, which is far from true "activation".After a long period of exploration,China’s space reuse has moved from a low-level simple reuse stage to a new stage that emphasizes efficiency, and "activation" has become the ultimate goal pursued by space reuse.Based on this,in the context of stock development, exploring more efficient methods of spatial reuse and achieving true "activation" reuse design has become a key topic that needs to be studied in contemporary times. This article first studies the historical background of the "activation" reuse stage, analyzes and summarizes the current situation of the reuse of abandoned building communities in China, and proposes the concept of spatial "activation" with precise functions, suitable location, matching volume, and suitable space;Secondly,it discusses the feasibility of this paper from three aspects: the inevitable trend of "activation" reuse, the realizability of "activation" of abandoned building communities, and relevant case studies;Furthermore, the design objectives of this article have been formed, proposing the design principles of "efficient reuse,low-cost transformation, tailored to local conditions, and overall system",and summarizing the design strategies of "clarifying functional positioning, rebuilding dynamic space, continuing historical style, and integrating into urban layout";Finally, taking Qingdao Laoshan West Jiushui Grain Depot as an example, the "activation" reuse design practice was carried out to further validate the "activation" design concept proposed in this article, providing theoretical guidance and practical reference for the reuse of contemporary abandoned building communities. |
