The Study On Chinese Pop-up Architecture From The Perspective Of Urban Renewal

Pop-up architecture is a practical form of public space creation with the intention of temporary use and short-term occupation of the site.In the context of today’s information age and urban renewal,pop-up architecture has become a popular spatial practice and a common urban phenomenon.For example,pop-up retail stores with trendy appearance but ephemeral,pop-up park with short-term but flexible and creative,art installations that encourage participation and enhance interaction.Pop-up architecture appear in every corner of the city by various forms,making immediate impact or driving long-term change,and they have become an important part of urban space and urban development that cannot be ignored.Therefore,this study attempts to establish a cognitive system of china’s pop-up architecture from the perspective of urban renewal,to fill the gaps in the field of architecture and urban,and to provide a new idea for optimizing urban public space and promoting sustainable urban development.Firstly,this paper interprets the concept of pop-up architecture and systematically combs its relevant theories,formation Reasons and domestic practice to lay the research foundation.Secondly,select the representative pop-up architecture in china and classify the practice according to the five aspects : functional use,existence time,organization mode,spatial location and operation mode,to explore the spatial form,action mechanism and social impact.Further summarize the basic characteristics of pop-up architecture:temporary,flexible and convenient,economical and environmental protection,Creative and interaction.Considering that pop-up architecture is not only a rigid building,but also a diverse urban phenomenon,the last part of this paper discusses the interactive relationship between pop-up architecture and urban development.Urban renewal promotes the emergence and development of the pop-up architecture,and the pop-up architecture has gradually become an important tool to study,transform and explore the possibility of the city.It has obvious advantages and guiding value in activating urban vacant space,promoting urban public participation and urban sustainable development.
